What patients say on Google

“i’ve been to this location twice now, every time i was treated with respect and kindness. however, the facilitators really lacked keeping things on track and i noticed that both times i was here. rodney was amazing and genuinely one of the only facilitators i felt that actually gave me proper help and support. Amy is an amazing psychiatrist, she’s attentive and helpful and explains everything in a way that is digestible to me. Dr V was amazing and also very attentive and knowledgeable and was the first dr to acknowledge my OCD. the outpatient therapy was lackluster to put it gently. my old therapist forgot i quit my job within a matter of two sessions, two weeks apart. forgot key information that was in my medical records pertaining to my ptsd diagnosis. and that was after ~6 months of weekly - biweekly therapy sessions. i’m not naming who it was because i feel she could be genuinely helpful for someone who needs skills in CBT/DBT therapy but she was not it for me. jake and david were both amazing therapists for me during the partial hospitalization program however both their caseloads are full at this time. amy and dr. v are both amazing psychiatrists and i’ve never felt more seen/heard than i did with them. i will be referring my friends and family to either of them for outpatient psychiatric treatment.. super thankful for the opportunity and support the partial hospitalization program offered me both times, i just wish that things were more organized rather than several tangents happening at once, and i wish that there were more therapists available like jake and david who truly helped and understood me in such a short period of time. some things definitely need to be changed, but overall this place saved my life both times and saved me the trauma and stress of a full hospitalization.”

“I sent an employee to their Partial Hospitalization Program for mental health issues. Epic mistake. They don’t offer individual therapy at the rate they claim. They don’t involve families. They don’t offer the majority of modalities they claim in marketing materials. And they charge $750 per day plus additional fees. They leave the participants alone for the entire lunch hour. My staffer was attacked by another participant during this time. Literally not one staffer interceded. Once they found a staffer to help, New Oakland had no protocol or playbook to deescalate or intervene. Do not allow someone you care about to be subject to this program that’s clearly a scam.”
Tracey Birkenhauer
“The staff and my therapist are always welcoming and caring. For the large number of people this facility works with every day, the vibes are always professional, calm and friendly. I look forward to my appointments.”
Faye Schuett
