“I normally don’t write reviews, but after hearing what my wife and our six-year-old experienced with this practice, I felt it was necessary. My wife scheduled a session for our daughter, who was already nervous about starting therapy. From what my wife shared with me, the therapist made it seem from the very beginning that she didn’t want to work with our child. She repeatedly suggested referrals to other providers—before the session began, during the session, and again at the end. She even named specific alternatives, including another therapist in Phoenixville and one within the same practice. To close, she told our daughter something like, “If I see you again, it was nice talking to you. If not, good luck and continue your art.” Imagine being six years old and hearing that on your very first session. Instead of leaving encouraged, our daughter left feeling low and unwanted. On top of that, my wife described the therapist drinking soda, burping, and stretching throughout the session. Those behaviors might seem small, but in a therapeutic setting for a child, they came across as unprofessional and distracting. What should have been a safe, supportive introduction to therapy instead left our family with a very negative impression. My wife reached out to the practice right away with this feedback. Rather than receiving a thoughtful response from the admin or owner, her email was simply forwarded to the therapist herself. The therapist’s reply focused on “compatibility of care,” which completely missed the main issue—how the entire situation was handled in front of our child. To make things worse, the therapist CC’d her supervisor and the practice owner, yet neither of them followed up or made any effort to address what had happened. That lack of accountability is what pushed me to finally write this review. As a father, it’s heartbreaking to see your child walk away from therapy feeling dismissed on day one. And as a husband, it was frustrating to watch my wife’s concerns brushed aside rather than taken seriously. Families entrust practices like this with some of their most vulnerable moments. That trust was not honored here.”

“I would maybe have nice things to say if I was able to go through with my appt. I show up for my appointment and there is nobody at the front desk but clearly a waiting room. I sit down and wait for 30 minutes to hopefully have somebody come out and greet me, show me where to go, ANYTHING. Nobody showed despite ringing the front bell. I leave the office and called the scheduler to confirm nobody took me for my appt. Turns out - the doctor was sitting in her office the whole time which is down the hall well past the waiting room. As a first time patient, how am I supposed to know the layout of the office to know I wouldn’t be walking into other’s sessions. Since the therapist was too lazy to get out of her chair and see where her patient is, i was charged for a No Show despite being there on time, waiting a half hour, the scheduler discussing what was going on real time…. But I was in the wrong for not walking down the hall to what felt like snooping. Highly disappointed in the customer service and overall “togetherness” of the practice. Handled a first time patient with real care…..not.”

“I have nothing but excellent things to say about Dr. Cecelia Baldwin. She is a compassionate therapist who mixes warmth and kindness with professional acumen. I highly suggest Dr. Baldwin to anyone who is seeking gentle and empathic guidance on their healing journey.”

“Dr. Baldwin is very easy to talk to, and finds clever insight to deeper feelings and problems. She is very helpful in finding ways to work through said problems. Couldn't be happier with her services!”
