How likely are you to recommend New Beginnings Counseling Center?
What patients say on Google
“My therapist cursed at me threatened me over and over to do what he said or he would drop me as a client will never recommend this therapist again! It was not a safe environment at all. And they can cancel on you but if you need to cancel you are charged just craziness poor service for those needing mental health assistance”
“I was recently tested for ADHD/ADD. From the first call to the end of the first assessment it went smoothly. No problems with copay, front desk staff was super kind and Dr. K was so sweet. I don't know my results yet but the testing was nowhere near as stressful as I had assumed it would be.”
“You would think they could hire kind front desk people at a place where people are seeking therapy but no that was not my experience. I have great mental health benefits through insurance and checked beforehand that this particular therapist was covered and she was. But upon checking in I was charged the full amount of $155. I told the lady that wasn’t correct and I just paid a copay. She argued with me and printed something out that said I was out of network. So I paid and met with the therapist (who was late and seemed skewed by her own personal experiences) and mentioned the insurance issue. She just said I could see her intern at a lower rate. Upon leaving I called my insurance to figure out the problem and they confirmed I should’ve paid $20. They offered to call the office and explain my benefits but she once argued and made up excuses and said they didn’t accept copays and eventually hung up on my insurance person. A month later the claim went through insurance and they paid the full amount but I never heard from the office or received a refund until I called another month later. I explained what had happened. They returned the money but never apologized. The experience dealing with the rude office lady handling the insurance and who clearly doesn’t know how to do her job ensured I never make another appointment there.”
“I’m having a very hard time putting any trust in folks who cannot keep their appointments. ( multiple times) Cancel the day before appointment???? Not only am I paying out of pocket (self pay), but my wife and I are losing work just to make appointments. Approximately $490 of lost wages per rescheduled appointment. Which as of today is $1470 of lost wages,Unacceptable! Could you imagine any mental health patient experiencing no stability in his or her care? I can, you’ll find that here. This review is my personal advice to anyone reading this, you would be better off to find a more qualified staff for your care. This counseling group should re-evaluate it’s communication with its clients, and have a backup plan for cancelled appointments. Highly disappointed and greatly dissatisfied.”
