“I got to give a big shout outs to this mental health facility. The staff was everything! The food was the bomb.com and support was nourishing! I’ve heard of some mental health facilities that makes you just feel even worse, but not this place. I mean I don’t want to ever go back, but if anything ever happens I feel at ease knowing that they are there! Thank you for ALL of ALL YALLS support! Had a blast lol from big booty 4 feet 11 and a half MIA. Take care yall!”
“I had what can only be described as a "psychotic break" it was a reaction to Ozempic and I had not eaten or slept in 3 weeks because the Ozempic made me Hypernanic. My psychiatrist sent me directly to this facility. I won't say my stay was perfect but when I addressed the problems one on one with Dr. K and Dr. Rashid my concerns were addressed immediately so I could feel safe in their facility. I am writing this review because I was informed by a new arrival that all of the reviews were negative and this is a poor representation of the reality of my experience. The loss of freedom is a hard pill to swallow but I am better off for it and the specialists were able to treat me under a controlled environment. It is my wish to volunteer in some unofficial capacity. The group I went through treatment with bonded very firmly and many turned to me for advice specifically because I am not a doctor or a nurse, I am just your average everyday Jefferson who makes cookies, plays video games and most importantly I feel like I may be easy to talk to. I fundraise for the American Cancer Society and I am currently waiting for another patient I had briefly met to be released because she desperately needs more people who understand what she is going through. My own cousin was shot dead in a robbery, he didn't even resist, they just did it for no reason, we weren't close but I know what it has done to his mother and that the trial can last years and there ain't no pill that will fix the justice system. If you're having problems bad thoughts, voices in your head, if you're spiraling you want to go here, this is the good place. If you wait too long and get "baker act"ed you go to the bad place. You don't want that, another person in my group described the bad place. It was worse than I imagined. The beds sucked though but honestly, I'm home and I get to actually sleep in my own bed instead of staring at the back of my eyelids like I was doing a week ago. That feels more amazing than you can imagine.”
“Most important to note before going into my review, this facility was recently purchased by a new company in the past 6 months so any reviews prior to that date (january 2025 and prior) are very misleading since it is a new management all together. I can not thank Neuro Behavioral enough for the services they provided for a loved one of mine. I have had a family member who has been in and out care in the South Florida area for about 6 months and this was the first of many facilities that provided exceptional health care. My loved arrived at this location in a state of psychosis and within 2-3 days was fully stabilized and in much better shape. Every single person from Dairo Restrepo (admission consultant) to all of the nurses doctors and security team at this facility everyone is amazing. I was in this facility daily visiting my loved one for about 2 weeks straight and became very close with everyone there. Every single person cares and goes out of their way to make sure patients are safe and advancing their care. Also the doctors met with me daily to give updates and their guidance as the best routes for my loved ones care. Either location (South or North) operated by Neuro Behavioral i would highly recommend. The north facility treats higher acuity and mandatory baker act patients, if you loved one is not at the point of needing that high of care then the South location is a great option to start. The doctors and nurses there will do amazing job and it is truly a one of a kind facility. The facility feels more like a resort and does not have a prison/ lockdown vibe to it. Patient safety and security is still exercised at a very high level but the facility does an amazing job of giving patients more freedom and focus on getting back to normal everyday living. Highly, highly recommend this facility.”
“They treated people worse than prisoners. Overmedicated and got to the point where my fiance needed to be sent to the hospital because he was so dehydrated and his organs were shutting down. I visited him everyday and tried to get the doctors to take action but they refused and were very nasty. They didn't make sure he took a shower or was dressed appropriately. It was freezing in the center and they had him in paper shorts and a t-shirt. He didn't eat for days and was just totally neglected. When we questioned a doctor to try and get anyone to help after he was becoming delusional from being in this facility, the security person basically scolded us and said that that person was on their break. Well our person was almost dead from their neglect and he needed help. A week prior he had been a working person his entire 40 years prior to a reaction from withdrawing cold turkey from an antidepressant. The 10 days he was in the facility he went from being a happy self-sufficient person to being in a wheelchair, delusional, almost complete kidney failure and catatonia. I hope the place is shut down so no one else has to experience the lack of care or empathy that almost resulted in death.”
