“I love my provider, Rachell. However, the front desk can be curt and condescending. I worked up the courage to call and schedule an appointment since I had not been able to attend my follow up in March and felt ashamed. The person on the phone was very rude about it, so I matched that energy and informed them that I was busy helping my dog that got hit by a car heal and hadn’t been able to schedule due to needing to care for him. I felt the tone shift after that but regardless, people should be treated with compassion rather than judgement. You don’t know what people are going through and I hate that I worked up the courage to call only to be treated like a bug beneath the person’s shoe. If not for my excellent provider I would look elsewhere.”
