What patients say on Google

“**5 stars – Mt. Sinai Wellness Center** I came for the recovery and stayed for the views (and the food that wasn’t fish). First off, the forest and mountain views here are ridiculous in the best way. You can sit outside, stare at actual nature, and feel like your nervous system is finally getting the memo that it’s allowed to calm down. It’s the kind of scenery that makes you forget you’re in a wellness center and start wondering if you’ve accidentally wandered onto a postcard. The food deserves its own standing ovation… with one polite exception. Everything else was genuinely good—flavorful, thoughtful, and clearly made by people who care. The fish, however, was the one dish that seemed to have taken a wrong turn somewhere between the kitchen and my plate. We can move on. The rest of the menu did not need moving on from. The instructors were excellent. Destiny, Tiffany, and Rashad somehow managed to make groups feel both structured and human. They showed up with patience, humor, and the rare ability to keep things real without turning it into a TED Talk. The RAs—Robin, Jennifer, and Evan—were the quiet backbone of the place. They were consistently kind, present, and good at the small things that actually matter when you’re trying to rebuild your life. Special shout-out to the directors of the RAs, Tiffany and Marcy, who clearly set the tone for how people are treated here. Rico, the therapist who also runs the veterans group, was a standout. He brings a grounded, no-nonsense compassion that veterans (and the rest of us) can actually trust. You can tell he gets it without needing to perform it. And Colleen in nursing? Absolute gem. Professional, caring, and somehow always there with the right balance of competence and humanity. Special shout-out to the director of operations Miss Kim thank you for the gym equipment she's the person to ask if you want something done. Much love 😘 Grateful to have been here. Highly recommend—especially if you like mountains, solid staff, and food that mostly knows what it’s doing. Ps. Josh and Dawn are the best too and I can't forget Bree and Joy and hope.”

“Mt Sinai in Dahlonega, Ga. literally saved my life. The detox process was comfortable and the classes changed me for the better. Beautiful facilities, great mountain view, great food and kitchen staff, housekeepers are professional and thorough, but more importantly the therapists and counselors are extremely experienced and effective. As a veteran, I can attest that the veterans groups and process groups with my therapist, Rico, who is also a veteran, are my favorite classes. Rico and I bonded immediately and I consider him a lifeline and a brother. The counselors who teach the classes are a blessing. I've learned so many important skills from Tiffany, Ron and Terry. All staff members here really care about my recovery and are extremely empathetic and compassionate, most of them being former addicts themselves. The patient engagement team Michal, Destiny, Shelby. The RAs Tiffany, Hope, Rashaad, Rosy, Robin, Naomi, Casey, and both Jennifers on night shift. The nursing staff are amazing, Sunny is definitely my favorite. Admissions Coordinators Brian and Tim. Alumni Coordinator John, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for treating me like a human being and encouraging me in my journey. I am forever grateful for all you do.”

“Mount Sinai provides a supportive and therapeutic environment and is staffed by some of the most caring professionals one could hope for during the recovery process. Upon arrival, I was formally welcomed and given comprehensive information regarding the lodge, cabins, and daily operations on campus. While the initial experience may feel overwhelming, the RAs demonstrated consistent professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness. During the detox phase, the nursing line can become strained due to staffing limitations in certain areas; this is an opportunity for improvement that I have shared with the facility. My therapist, Melissa, was exceptionally knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate, and she provided a wide range of valuable resources throughout my treatment. I would also like to formally acknowledge the RAs, Robin and Hope, for their dedication and support. Overall, Mount Sinai fosters a safe and structured environment for recovery. An additional benefit of the program is that individuals who adhere to facility guidelines are granted access to their cell phones following the blackout period, which varies depending on whether the individual is in detox or residential care”

“This place is severely understaff and they are infamous for losing stuff I and I know other people have had their stuff lost by the staff. So if you were homeless like I was the times I went I would go somewhere else. Their wonderful therapist left, all good people left here. It was obviously once a good place, the new workers don't know what they are doing. Like 1st time I completed here they sent me to good place and was honest about it, 2nd time they lied about housing situation (i am transgender and they promise I wouldn't be in mens sober living) but the main thing that makes me so upset. I have went here three times. First time I was here 6 days, I didnt lose a thing. Second time they lost my moms ashes and I was clear I am homeless and those are her ashes in the bags and they threw them away or lost them. Third time I went 7 months later they lost my bag and purse with all my makeup and they were expensive bags and I had photos and sentimental stuff in it. I been begging for months since I got out to find out what happened or to be reinbursed and they just stop responding. I left honest review month ago but Kim a worker there told me to take it down and she will find mh bags or reinburse me. She leaves me on read and I ask her once a week for a update. Its been like a month.”
