What patients say on Google

“Mount Sinai Doctors of Long Beach provided excellent care! Saw cardiologist for a cardio clearance before bronchoscopy, he ordered an Echo and Stress Test to be done at MSSN. The wait time was short. Dr. Esses told me to follow up with Raquel two days later. She was very approachable and answered all of my concerns regarding the surgery, and my follow up’s going forward. The staff is friendly and efficient. Very welcoming vibe. The is office clean. Great location right here in Long Beach with easy parking although I feel handicap parking should be closer to the building. Very professional and so happy to have them nearby.”

“This office has gone down hill. Every time I call the operators don’t give me the appropriate amount of time to respond and they don’t even respond with a nice tone. I currently have my primary care doctor there and have been advised by my surgeon to change, which I have and will be discontinuing my appointments at the most convenient place because of multiple factors. 1st Dr. Haran Ratna is not a very good doctor and his PA is a nervous person who cannot sit still when dealing with patients. I went to Doctor Ratna over 6 visits to find out that I stage 4 Metastatic Brain Cancer, he didn’t even order the proper MRI in a timely manner to the point I ended up in the ER at South Nassau Hospital after multiple visits in consecutive weeks. If you want proper professional care in a timely manner seek out a different office. My last visit was very strange and felt rushed, they are over booking appointments and being thorough with patients who are very concerned about their health. I was placed in an exam room and the Nurse was fine did the vitals and that stuff but then the doctor I was supposed to see second as a follow up with a very serious matter of bladder came into the room and did basically a fly by. He asked me 2 questions and just said come see me in 3 months. Then Dr Ratna and his antsy PA enter and are like lost as to what to do. I had Brain surgery and this was my second follow up in 2 weeks because I did need important medical paperwork filled out to help me get the proper benefits from the government and that was a bit overwhelming for him. If a doctor and his PA are nervous how is the patient supposed to feel about the care being received. I will be changing out of this office as my primary care doctor as well as my urologist under the advice of my top surgeon. When a patient is diagnosed with something as serious as Stage 4 metastasis Brain Cancer and spends 3 weeks in the hospital the follow up appointments with the primary care doctor are extremely important and need better care and time. The facility is beautiful but the care and staff ruin it does it really make sense to let these people have my life and health care in their hands? I don’t believe So. Therefore I will be taking my care to the RVC area doctors that have recommended by my surgeon. It’s a bit inconvenient for me to have to leave the town I live in and travel but necessary to keep myself alive with the best care. It’s unfortunate for 440 East Bay Drive facility to be so nice and state of the art but then have some bad staff issues to make a patient have to seek care out of town after multiple years of being under the care of Dr Ratna and Dr Harris. The leadership of the office at this location needs to know what is really happening. Phone calls are difficult, the people answering are very short with the patient and don’t even give a chance to talk. The Doctors are not very sharp and it basically feels like a factory and not some place that a patient is truly cared for. It’s a Shame, because we are talking about the lives of people not a restaurant or some other business that should be worried about things like rushing you through or not making sure that the patient is actually being cared for properly. In closing if you live locally and want good medical care seek other locations that will be mindful and provide the type of care that is necessary to address major health issues and not make you have to return so many times multiple weeks in a row to get the proper testing and subsequent treatment. Also they charge a co pay every time for every single visit so it just feels like a business more than a Medical Facility that should be helping people with serious illnesses in a more timely manner. Please think twice about using this facility. Your life depends on it.”

“I have never had a problem. When they first came on board with Mt Sinai, it was impossible to reach your doctor. Now, it seems all the kinks.have been ironed out.”
