“DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! If i could do a 0 out of 5 I would. This place traumatized my daughter. From the bugs in the shower to a nurse watching her use the bathroom without my daughter knowledge. My daughter tried to let a supervisor named nick know that she was being watched and his excuse for the nurse was "she's new she didnt know", but it is well common sense to not watch someone using the bathroom. That sane supervisor nick told her "find better coping skills than taking medication and calling your mom" There is also nothing to cover the shower with so water gets everywhere on the floor. You can't shower for more than 5 minutes without the water getting all over the floor and slightly flooding out into the bedroom. There is also water dripping from the ceiling that led to mold in the light so they only keep around 3 hallway lights on. My daughter would try to let nurses know whats going on and the nurses would pretend to be on the phone until she moved away following along with the staff poor attitude. My daughter takes melatonin at night and let a nurse know that and the nurse told her "not here so you can go lay down". They are also VERY unorganized they lost a child clothes for 4 days, lost my daughter clothes, and children have to stay up on the unit rather than going down to the cafeteria to eat. They even told a child if she doesn't stop crying she'll get a shot. That shot is filled with benadryl to put a child to sleep faster. Following along with the staff putting their hands on kids. The rooms also always smell either like pee or poop. Workers also stay on face time and record your children. My daughter caught a nurse recording her and nothing was done. Workers also go live. There is stains EVERYWHERE the place is very dirty. They play loud music at night until 9-9:30 pm my daughterhas tried to report all of this and they had no report papers. They run out of toilet paper and children have to share with eachother there water machine doesnt work. They also wont let your child call you even "if its a emergency". They also give your child food away if they dont get it in time. Theres only one food option. They had 2 fights in a row from sunday to Monday. You also have to hold to toilet button down for the toilet to flush. Overall ghetto.”
“Im not giving it 2 stars just because i was a patient here but because this hospital genuinely did not help me at all with my depression. The day i arrived i was taken to a room with two nurses and i was forced to strip right in front of them and if i didn’t ask for atleast a little bit of privacy, i would’ve never gotten it. The group therapy did absolutely nothing in order to better our mental health. I think the only actual good thing about this experience was the food and about 2 staff members who actually made the experience a bit bearable. Other staff members would literally gossip and argue with patients which is kinda insane honestly considering they are grown adults, Honestly the experience of it all was so bad i dont even want to harm myself anymore in fear of going back lol”
“DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. Mine was beyond mistreated. They allowed her to.go without a meal and even showers. They didn't even allow her new paper gowns to change into . I found out all of this from my child because the facility didn't call me. When she did get checked in I had to CALL 8 TIMES to get through to anyone. Careless isn't even the word. How dare you treat children this way? There is a lot more. But I'm not going to put all of my child's buisness on the internet. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE.”
“My experience here was very bad. The staff did not make a genuine effort to help patients long term. There were frequent fights between patients multiple times a day, and staff would only break them up without addressing the underlying issues. It was also very confusing. When I asked staff questions, I often received different answers from different people, or was told to ask someone else, even when no one else was available. We were kept in the dayroom for hours at a time and many times were not allowed to leave, even if we felt nauseous or needed to use the bathroom. I left feeling worse than when I arrived. I would not recommend sending your child/teen here.”
