How likely are you to recommend Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital?
What patients say on Google
“They discharged my sister with 24 hours notice, tried to keep her another day with an hours notice before the set discharge time. They discharged her with someone else's clothes, no supply of the antipsychotics she was prescribed during her treatment, no prescription order sent in to the pharmacy we put on file. Her social worker didn't meet with her mother when she came to pick her up, neither did the psychiatrist. I've called 15 times to try to reach her social worker, her psychiatrist, or a nurse to get the prescription sent in before the pharmacy closes. I was told that there was not a single nurse on the floor by two separate employees over the course of two hours. The staff treats their patients like prisoners, there's no books, no music, no activities, they refused to send my sister to a medical doctor when she was showing symptoms of a severe medical issue despite my family pleading with them to do so. The 1 out of every 6 calls I've made where someone does answer they are unkind, unhelpful, and rushing to get me off the phone or transfer me to a floor the patient in question wasn't even housed on. They discharged my sister with NO SECONDARY CARE PLAN after 3 weeks of psychosis and one week of inpatient treatment, no PHP or IOP program linkage which her social worker Deearia assured my family would be put in place. They just dumped her with no meds, no plan, and no way to contact anyone. This is a medication that she has not been on previously, so there is no way for the pharmacy to fill an emergency prescription without a doctor's order. If you do not have the staff, compassion, or competence to provide the absolute baseline level of care such as ordering prescriptions that patients need to function, you do not deserve to profit from their illness. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE OR YOURSELF HERE IF YOU ARE IN CRISIS”
“Do not send your loved one here. Phone lines are constantly hanging up there every time you try to hold for reception the line hangs up when you do get through it’s to the wrong unit. 90% of the staff you do get put through to Is rude. My loved on was denied the ability to sign a release of information multiple times and every request that I was told was being sent through went no were. When my love one filled out the form finally it was with a rude nurse who then proceeded to ignore her and that paperwork suddenly disappeared. When I finally got added the nurse had next to 0 information and information conflicting with what my loved one had experienced. Supervisors will look you dead in the eye and tell you they can’t do anything. Patient advocate lines say they are closed and no alternate number is provided. The patient is ignored, no one is there to advocate for them, and loved ones are blocked from advocating for them as well. 77 calls and still no real information after 3 and a half days. They also denied her legal right to submit a legal written request for discharge despite stating she is on a voluntary hold which gives her a legal right for the formal written request.”
“I was here about 6 months ago and what i want to say is: A) they didn't set me up with ANYTHING upon discharge - no partial/iop programs, therapist, psych anything B) The staff engaged in provoking/triggering patients including those in manic/psychotice episodes C) trigger happy.. injected people with haldol shots disproportionately - one person, 4 times, for crying while being sexually assaulted in her own room. D) never gave me any of the items i was brought and lost some upon me checking out E) Nothing actually for us to do while there except meal time and art therapy one 30-minute period every few days..”
“As a mentally ill teen, being chronically online made me even more depressed but when I went to Montrose Outpatient, I felt myself growing a stronger mentality. Do NOT do inpatient. Only the outpatient is good and Montrose is very chill and flexible with all different kinds of people. My therapist, Ms.Love, was the kindest, funniest woman I’ve gotten to meet! She keeps it real and actually loves her job!!(*ˊᗜˋ*) Though I suggest you should take your mental health into your own hands before considering ANY therapy. Montrose outpatient tells the truth unlike a lot of places and that’s what really stuck out to me. Compass takes advantage and exploits others while in patient is abusive. I was admitted for having suicidal thoughts but just know, outpatient will get you back on your feet. WE LOVE MS.LOVE🫶🫶🫶😋”
