What patients say on Google
“Unprofessional, unethical, and unsafe. This provider mocked and laughed at me when I disagreed with her. She insulted my parenting and told me to put my child in foster care. Do not trust this person with your children's mental health. Her name was Brooke Walker.”
“Every staff member that was attending to one of my family members was extremely polite nice and professional no horror stories here no tales of someone abusing someone or a staff member talking to a child in a non-professional way I was really scared when my family member went into monarch because I have known many these type of institutions where children have been abused I've even worked in them. I was extremely impressed while my family member was there but even after they got out the professionalism extended into aftercare medicine management so much more everyone has been so polite all the way from the top to the bottom I will always be grateful because this place was not just a place to put our family member but it was a learning experience we learn more about them they learn more about themselves it was a place to take a breath and take a look inward and that's exactly what happened my family member was able to absorb learn and exercise methods taught at this facility I thank you from the bottom of my heart I would recommend anyone struggling with mental illness or think that you might have one because if you think about it we all have something just different levels once one understands themselves everything else in life goes smoother this is a support system setup to make that more possible.”
“If I was able to give more than 5 stars I most certainly would. Hands down Mrs. Brooke Walker is the best psychiatrist I’ve ever had. I struggle with anxiety often and it tends to come out whenever I have a scheduled appointment. That being said the second we get to conversating my anxiety flees away without me even realizing it in the moment. I know that I can always be honest because she’s never made me feel judged or less than, and she always has the best advice. Anytime we have a session she’s smiling and is radiating positive energy, it’s quite contagious so much so that I’m over filled with joy by the time it ends. Mrs. Walker is observant of her patients and truly puts much effort into finding the correct diagnosis and treatment. I’ve had a handful of psychiatrists for a decade now but she’s the only one who realized or thought to mention that I have ADHD. We’re currently in the beginning stages of the diagnosis but I can already see much improvement and it’s given me peace of mind now that I have a better understanding of myself. There’s times when I’m feeling down or helpless, but after a session with Mrs. Walker I’m able to feel that things will get better. She’s been such a blessing and a positive reinforcement in my life. I’m very grateful to have Mrs. Walker as a psychiatrist, she’s helped me in many ways and gives me strength to keep going. Thank you for everything you do Mrs. Walker!”
“Most importantly, my psychiatrist (Carla Owens) didn't listen to me at all and canceled medications I had been on without even asking me, and then refused to reconsider it. There was a reason to consider canceling them, but the fact that she made the decision without even bringing it up at all, and then acted like it wasn't up for discussion (and even argued with me about whether they were affecting my sleep or not), was very frustrating. I've gone to a different office now and gotten a more reasonable response on this. I also had a bizarre experience here trying to get psychiatric med management in the first place. I had two separate hour-long intake evaluations with different providers before a third appointment with the psychiatrist I would supposedly see on a regular basis. That first appointment (the one described above) was only a 25 minute routine checkup, not a full hour-long intake to discuss my medical history and such. I guess she relies on the notes from the other providers?? Because of this weird process, it took over a month to be get to that appointment and then it felt like she didn't have necessary context. Finally, I thought the first appointment would be in-person, so I drove to the office but then it was a telehealth appointment with an ipad in an empty office room. Also there was a drug advertisement on the middle of the ipad. Not great overall. EDIT: I emailed the complaints email in the response a couple months ago. Never heard anything back. Go figure.”
