What patients say on Google

“My family member was there for 3 years. Unit 4 was his longest stay and I have to give them all the accolades for how well he was taken care of and how he was treated. The staff treated him with such empathy and I felt they genuinely cared about him and the other patients. Although a mental health facility is not always regarded as a preferred place to be, the workers and doctors here make the atmosphere as happy and loving as it can possibly be. He made such good friends there in the staff and with other patients. He left there in 2019 and unfortunately died in January of 2025. I spent every weekend with few exceptions at MB visiting him and it was always such a blessing to know he was cared for so well. Kudos to Unit 4 especially, but all the staff deserves at least acknowledgement from the higher-ups for their commitment and their attitudes. Great job!!”

“Mental illness plays a toll on all involved. Therefore, to try and help to alleviate concerns that we all have, I wanted to write a review. My grandson was admitted to Moccasin Bend and received treatment for approximately two weeks. He was released today. Since he has seen his share, I asked him how was this facility and the staff. He said the staff and facility were nice. I can’t speak for anything other than staff I had contact with; I found they were nice. I see an improvement in him, and can only hope with continued mental treatment he will be fine.”

“I called up there on Wednesday at 3:01 and Sabrina answered the phone . I simply inquired whether they had open beds , and she hung up on me . She did not answer my question got frustrated with me . I called back and she said that she did not know the answer and offered to transfer me to admissions but said I didn’t want to speak to them which was not true! Why would I not want to talk to the people that know the answer to my question. I told her she was gaslighting me and that I would like to be transferred to whoever can answer my question . I asked her if she wanted someone to speak to her rudely as she is in health care and need to be sensitive to the people that call bc you don’t know what type of mental state they are in dealing with their loved ones going into that facility or whatever the case may be . She yelled at me lost her temper all bc she didn’t know the answer to my question which could have been solved by a simple transfer . I spoke to rackelle and she answered my questions and transferred me to Jacob the manager which said he would give her a talk . Apologized for the experience but still … absolutely unacceptable!!! This place should have compassionate people answering the phones and the knowledge of the facility or know who can answer the question without being rude . I’m very scared for my loved one being in the care of a place that doesn’t have people that are going to be sensitive and caring . This is health care … people are in trouble and need help and this is what you have to?! If I could give negative stars I would.”

“Dr. Amanda Zayas the forensic Psychologist think I am Competent to stand in trial After passing Her competent to stand trial text exam telling me to read the booklet just because I passed the exam It doesn’t mean I am competent so I’ve bad autism, bad ADHD, bad autistic and anxiety and utter mental health diagnosis and telling my lawyer that my autism my ADHD and my anxiety will not be excusable To the court system, I have autism and ADHD for 20 years of my life. I have bad mental health issues and I should not be competent Because I am not a normal intelligent person because I’ve been taking a lot of medication for my mental health such as 300 mg of Seroquel Trileptal 25 mg of hydroxyzine 40 mg of propanolol and 50 mg Of trazodone and I took a lot of mental health prescription medication for my ADHD, my autism and my anxiety And for my anger problems and telling me that I am competent to stand trial I should have intentionally fail her Competent to stand in trial test exam that she telling me to read and study by giving me the book look of it”
