What patients say on Google

“⭐☆☆☆☆ The Missouri Department of Mental Health is completely unprofessional and abusive. Staff talked down to me, made racist remarks, and played games on the phone instead of helping. They act professional only when being recorded or monitored. There’s no way to file complaints, calls go unanswered, and they repeatedly transfer or ignore you. Publicly funded, yet they fail the people who need help most.”
Kareem
“My brother worked with Lisa Stevens. She is professional, friendly, and helped him with paperwork that he was having troubles with. It's rare to find good customer service, we need more people like her.”
S Scott
“This is a rating of our state's mental health system in general, and I only wish I could make it lower. I've been looking for a facility to place my son for some short-term treatment and care, and I've called every facility in the state of Missouri that had a decent reputation. Not one of them will take him, because he "doesn't meet their criteria." Reading between the lines based on the questions I was asked, he isn't suicidal or homicidal enough. It's time to ask ourselves why it has to go that far in order for us to get help for our children. It's really no wonder there's so much wanton violence these days. Lawmakers need to take notice, and start doing something about this, because things desperately need to change on this front. Our children are our future. We need to do better for them.”
Christopher Sharp
“I want to leave adult protective services and leaves Combs red for an adult protective services”
