What patients say on Google

“I’m not one to write reviews as I understand things happen, but today was completely unacceptable and if I can help anyone with my words It would make writing this worth it. I recently had an emergency move from WV back to SC. I understand psychiatric appointments are commonly booked out months in advance, so I made sure to make this appointment I had today shortly after I moved. My appointment was actually 8 am on the 22nd, but due to issues with my iPhones alarm not going off, I slept till 8:30. That is completely on me. I rescheduled my appointment to today, July 31st, I have about 3 days left of my Zoloft medication, as well as 4 days left of my Vyvanse. I joined my new patient appointment with Mr Steven Sinderman. MD, and we were on the phone for an hour before he tells me he thinks I have bipolar disorder (based on the hour long conversation we just had) and will not refill my medication due to complications with this assumption. I then asked if he wanted me to quit cold turkey, and he replied with a simple yes. I am not a psychiatrist, I do not claim to be, but I have done a lot of therapy over the years and bipolar is not something I or past psychiatric providers feel I fit the criteria for. However, I know that quitting any medication cold turkey is very very dangerous. I told him I did not think this was a good idea, and he wouldn’t help me any further. Basically, I waited a month and spent 150$ (100$ in late fees, granted) on an appointment that put me worse off than before. I wish I would have booked anywhere else, because now I have very little options to get medicine prescribed over the weekend (one of which being a controlled substance) as it is Friday at the time of writing this. To anyone who read this far, keep this in mind when searching for a new provider. Trust your gut and remember you have certain rights as a patient, one of which being prescribed or refilled an established substance to avoid nasty withdrawal symptoms. I wish you luck! Mental health recovery is no light work, but you will do so good with time :)”

“Neil Sondov is an excellent listener, which makes my sessions with him very effective. His questions and reactions to what I say are thoughtful and focused on helping me. I feel very comfortable sharing my thoughts and feelings with him because I never feel judged. He is very down-to-earth and has a good sense of humor, both of which help me to feel relaxed and receptive to his suggestions. I always feel better at the end of my sessions, and when I leave I always have new things to think about and to try during the week before my next appointment. His counseling is definitely helping me cope with the overwhelming grief I am experiencing since my husband died. I am grateful that I found him when I was searching for counseling help.”

“I have not been not more frustrated and disappointed with a doctor before. I sat through over an hour long session with your professional that I was charged for before we even spoke. I was also late to work to attend this VERY VERY VERY important session. Just to find out after I go to off NO PRESCRIPTION was sent to my pharmacy and there is no record of my session with your doctor. During my session I was under the impression that I was on thE right path to becoming a better person mentally and physically. Just to have my entire idea of this session SHATTERED. Now I have nowhere to turn or get any help from your company. The doctor told me I could contact them in the patient portal but there is no record of the doctor. This is more than frustrating. I was expecting to give a 5 star rating after my first session with your professional. I get off work and it like all of that was done for nothing. I would not wish this feeling on my worst enemy.”

“I have to say working with Neil has been very productive since the start. He's knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Casey the receptionist is so kind hearted and encouraging is a bonus too!”
