What patients say on Google

“Update: Still waiting on the release of my health records. I received a written referral from Nicole Emery, the therapist I saw, and it’s completely useless. The language in it is grammatically incorrect, and it is unsigned. I asked my insurance if it was a usable referral, and they confirmed it was not. I called the office to ask for a new referral, and they acted like it was an impossible task. They mailed me the exact same referral again, still unsigned. So if your therapist, such as Nicole, tells you they will write a referral, please know they will not give you anything you can actually use with a new doctor or with your insurance. My experience with Mindpath was, without question, one of the most unprofessional healthcare experiences I've ever had. My appointment was cut short in the middle of the session, despite the fact that I still had concerns I needed to discuss. Rather than listening, offering guidance, or attempting to help, I was essentially told to do my own research and find someone else. That is an astonishing response to give someone seeking mental health care. I left with no treatment plan, no meaningful referrals, and no support — just the feeling that they wanted to end the appointment as quickly as possible. If Mindpath is unwilling or unable to help patients, they should at least have the professionalism to communicate that respectfully instead of wasting people's time and money. Mental health providers are supposed to make patients feel heard, supported, and respected. My experience was the complete opposite. I left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and worse than when I walked in. Based on my experience, I would strongly discourage anyone looking for compassionate, competent mental health care from choosing this practice.”

“My therapist has truly been a blessing to me. I came to her during one of the most difficult and life-changing seasons of my life, and she has helped me navigate it with compassion, patience, understanding, and genuine care. She has created a safe space for me to be honest about what I’m feeling, while also helping me find the strength to keep moving forward. I’m so grateful for her support throughout this journey. Having someone who listens, encourages me, and helps me process everything I’ve been going through has made such a difference. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who truly cares about the people she serves. ❤️”

“Love Mindpath Health! Great care and amazing employees! This morning I spoke with Tawanna, (I believe she works in the department that deals with prior authorization for medication). She was SO friendly, upbeat and helpful. She is the kind of person that would have a positive impact on a person's life. She deserves a raise and all the high fives! A++++++!+!”

“Mindpath really needs to be more upfront and transparent about pricing. Being quoted one amount and then receiving a much higher bill afterward was frustrating and stressful. When you’re seeking mental health care, you’re often already dealing with enough challenges, and unexpected costs only make the situation harder. Clear communication about pricing should be a basic part of patient care. Before scheduling my initial appointment, I was told that my cost would be $175. Based on that information, I decided to move forward with treatment. After the appointment, I was surprised to learn that Mindpath billed my insurance more than $1,100 for the visit, leaving me responsible for $255.03. My biggest concern isn’t necessarily the amount I owed—it’s the lack of transparency. If I had known upfront that my out-of-pocket cost could end up being significantly higher than the quoted $175, I would have reconsidered my options before scheduling. When I contacted the billing department, I asked why the estimate differed from the final charge and whether the balance could be reviewed. Instead of answering my questions, I was simply sent another copy of the bill. Mental health care is important, and patients deserve accurate, easy-to-understand pricing information before receiving services. My experience left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For anyone looking for a provider with clearer pricing, I’ve personally had a much better experience with Lemonaid Health. Their costs are stated upfront, and they charge a straightforward flat rate for services that is significantly less expensive than the initial $175 I was quoted by Mindpath.”
