“When I contacted this practice, the very first question I asked was if they accepted my Medicare advantage plan and Medicaid. I was assured that did and she even checked my insurance to make sure it was valid. I called today because there’s no paperwork to fill out in the portal. So when I called just now, she tells me they don’t accept my Medicare advantage plan, which is UHC dual Complete. She said they tried to call me yesterday, but I didn’t receive any messages So had I not called in this morning I would’ve been at that appointment sitting there looking stuck on stupid! Not to mention the fact that I still have to find another provider now because I need medical supplies that I can’t get without my new provider. So now I’m delayed at least another two days. Just completely unacceptable. There are zero reasons you shouldn’t know what insurance you take when someone picks up that phone”
