What patients say on Google

“She was nice, but it's the same old story. I was told I couldn't get the medication that helps me . I was prescribed an antidepressant instead of an anxiety medication. I need a specific medication that I know helps me. I'm tired of suffering. I'm going to try a new primary care physician that a friend told me about and if all else fails I'll order my meds online. I already found a pharmacy that will send me the medication and it's not very expensive. I'm desperate and I'm going to what I have to.”

“I requested a letter of advocacy to support my decision to withdraw from a college course due to significant mental health stressors. The psychiatric team managing my medications informed me that providing such a letter was outside their scope of practice. Communication from the office was inconsistent, and I often had to send multiple follow-up emails to receive a response. Over the year I received care, medication changes occurred only when I requested them, and documentation frequently indicated that I was doing well. In requesting the letter, I realized my concerns were not being fully heard. When I shared personal challenges affecting my focus, it was not meant as an excuse, but to provide context for changes in my mood and functioning. Ultimately, I recognized the importance of having a care team that can advocate for me and address my mental health needs comprehensively, as this team was more detrimental than beneficial overall.”

“If you are looking for a standout professional that you can count on for your psychological needs, Chandelle Shannon is world class. She has a real gift for understanding the pathway between the person and goals associated, creating such meaningful results. She is exceptionally easy to speak with / open up to, as well as very relatable and makes introspection as a tool something I look forward to rather than want to avoid, as I have experienced in other places previously. As a leader who depends on introspection for my career, these visits have become so valuable for my continued growth.”

“Since my time at this office I have noticed that they have expanded. However let me share my experience when I was a patient there and how it’s effected my life the last 3.5 years. In December of 2021 I sought out a psychiatry office that was suggested by my therapist. I saw Chandelle and was her patient for almost 6 months. During this time, Chandelle learned my father had bipolar 1 disorder, she ran with that idea and diagnosed me with bipolar 2. She put me on intense medication that hospitalized me multiple times due to the reaction, medications that made me experience mania for the first time in my life, and then was followed by a 3 month depression where I couldn’t leave bed. During this time, I would message Chandelle and tell her what was going on. I was lucky if I got a response in 3 days. She would leave me deathly sick, on a medication she put me on, and then not reply to give a solution. After 3 years of failed medications and chronic depression I decided to get reevaluated by a psychiatrist with experience and it turns out I don’t have bipolar disorder at all. I have ADHD mixed with a few other things. Bipolar NOT being one of them. Chandelle is inexperienced. My time spent with her was terrible and I regret ever letting her treat me. She doesn’t communicate and lacks the ability to correctly diagnose someone without bias from family history. I don’t know how the other therapist are; but do not see Chandelle. It will not be the experience you want and it can ruin your life for three years or longer with a misdiagnosis.”
