What patients say on Google

“This place is very shady, stay away!!! There is a huge turnover of staff constantly, the front office staff members are nasty, unprofessional & rude, they never answer their phone or return your messages, the office manager is extremely rude and on a power trip, this place seems like it’s just out to take your money & write prescriptions for anything but then you can’t get refills when needed. Patience who are dealing with conditions of the mind definitely need an office & therapist who are on top of their game. Otherwise they will make your conditions worse, dealing with staff like this.”

“I’ve been going to this mental health clinic for medication management for the past 2.5 years (on the medication for 20) and my experience has been consistently frustrating and, frankly, unsafe. In that time, I’ve seen six different providers, as it seems the clinic has a revolving door of staff. Almost every time I call to refill my prescription, I’m told the provider I last saw is no longer employed there, which creates a cascade of issues. Also, this causes me to have more follow ups as it’s the “first time I’ve seen the provider” so I have to pay more. Due to insurance restrictions, I can’t refill my prescription before a certain date, but the clinic’s disorganization often leaves me without enough medication to last until my next appointment. Typically, they’ve provided a bridge refill to cover the gap, but my recent interaction with a receptionist was appalling. She insisted it was against her manager’s policy to provide a bridge refill, despite me explaining that I take serious psychiatric medications and cannot safely go without them for even a week—otherwise, I risk needing hospitalization. Her response? She suggested I go to the emergency room, which would cost thousands of dollars and is entirely unnecessary when a five-day supply of my meds would suffice. She also told me to ask my primary care physician, who doesn’t prescribe these medications, which is why I was referred to this psychiatric clinic in the first place. After speaking with the manager, I learned they could provide the bridge refill, proving the receptionist was either misinformed or deliberately unhelpful. Her dismissive attitude and lack of empathy were shocking for someone working in mental health. She essentially implied that I should risk losing my job and incurring massive hospital bills because of the clinic’s inability to retain providers or manage refills effectively. The lack of continuity is dangerous. Not once has a departing provider informed me of their exit, leaving me to scramble when refill time comes. This clinic’s high turnover and poor communication put patients’ mental health at risk. No one should have to beg for critical medications or be told to “just go to the ER” when a simple solution exists. I strongly advise others to seek a more reliable and compassionate mental health provider—this clinic’s negligence is unacceptable and potentially harmful.”

“Our mentally ill adult daughter was let out with little care and concern 4 days ago on Monday afternoon...she is currently in hotels and on street and hanging out at a Burger King in full psychosis!!! MONDAY we called facility to tell them our grave concerns of her well being and lack of reality! We had phone voice mails and PROOF the day the patient was leaving she was not stable with same psychotic conversations! we had proof to share she is very unstable...this follow up is not a breaking hippa law... it is professional, and basic common sense from a caring social worker or Dr to do their job! they disregarded family calls (we did not ask for medical info she is an adult we get it, but we had full proof and Social worker Psychiatrist nor an RN bother with a follow up) .....the discharge was 100% careless and not in best interest of patient! im in healthcare "DO NO HARM" to the patient!!!! I guess they ignored that oath too! question to staff....did you just need her bed? did she not have the right insurance? now our family member is on streets and in hotels leaving 30 plus messages a day about her scary mission with jobs in government she does not have and talking to a friend that has passed... in some sort of mania not sleeping normal! She is NOT well! did you not even see if possibly you gave wrong meds or she was not compliant inpatient??!! why didn't you evaluate the outcome when giving meds???? you discharged out in uber bc she was agreeable w staff and fooled professionals? I dont know what to do but she was there because you are suppose to know! its your job!!! we tried to share info day 7 on discharge morning that IT ISNT WORKING or she is spitting medication out! Nurse went to her and said your mom called and thinks you should not be discharge and we are letting you because you are of sound mind!! only 4 days since she left facility she's worse than she went in.. her voicemails were and are deeply concerning! the staff and team can not see the harm they just put a patient in.... seriously is this all new grads? with no experience in this type of hospital? RN told my daughter she was of "sound mind" and if her family was a problem for her growth to get a police to go with her to get her lap top at moms house.... where is the concern for reunification and helping them understand family is killing themself to save them from schizoaffective disorder and keep them safe from streets and others!! DEAR STAFF, If she's sound mind she wouldn't be on meds and in there....you validated her thinking she doesn't have problem! Education WILL teach you, a mental patient takes those words seriously, read about the disorder! did you not even see if possibly you gave anti psychotic med she didn't respond to?? or she was just not compliant inpatient taking them correctly??| why didn't you evaluate the outcome when giving meds? discharged because she was agreeable ? where is the therapy in house for reunification and helping them understand family is doing everything they can to save them from schizoaffective disorder and keep them safe from streets and others!! kudos to that nurse for screwing that up! the hospitals push meds and push ya out the door. I was really hoping Michigan health care would do better since she wandered across their state line) bc this hospital was an epic fail. (however, the judge did NOT fail me both times with court orders. she has texted and no we cant trace it but now mentioning purple plasma bacteria bacteria and that can be drug reaction or serious circulatory. this hospital is very unprofessional and dangerous to let her go!”

“Rapid staff turnover is a red flag. I loved my providers there but admin and staff seem unable to satisfy each others needs to remain in office. front staff is visibly dissatisfied with their work environment. all my providers quit or were fired. But 3 stars cuz they'll give you meds if you pay.”
