How likely are you to recommend Mercy Medical Center - Mental Health Center Aurora?
What patients say on Google
“A family member has been here 3 times. The nurses, doctor and staff in the hospital were amazing during the initial intake and stay. They took great care of my family member, who participated in group and individual counseling and was able to communicate regularly with us. We really liked the psychiatrist on staff who provided care during the stay. The caseworker also really advocated for my loved one and was amazing at facilitating a spot in a good inpatient program that was well suited for her specific needs. We would definitely recommend seeking care here!”
“Do not let anyone be admitted here. They are holding my little sister hostage and keeping her in a room without any social contact, no major therapy, and without being able to go outside. She was fine when she went in to be admitted but then she tested positive for COVID and we planned to take her out and have her go in a different week until she was negative but they didn’t care. Planning on taking this to the media and to get this place shut down. My little sisters mental health is getting worse thanks to this place. She has expressed that she is good to leave and do outside therapy groups but like I said, there are no educated doctors at this facility. The sanitation of the place is very unearthly. And the set up is sad to say the least. I had gone to a hospital before and it was nothing like this. Our parents have tried to take her home and this place has escorted them out of the building. They are just doing more harm than good.”
“The staff is horrible to the patients please do not send your kids here, I was screamed at and felt threatened by the staff. Tara a counselor said she would fight the kids and she doesn’t care about our tears. I was having an anxiety attack and Heather, a manger i think, yelled at me and said i was overreacting and causing problems and making everyone else act out. They don’t try and talk the kids through their problems they would rather shoot us up with drugs so calm us down. The place was horrible and made me feel lifeless and everyone there was treated horribly there were a few good staff members but for the most part they should not be working with mentally ill people.”
“My daughter had 2 stays at other places. This place tops them all they helped us so much with all our needs. My daughter loved the staff and the Physiatrist Dr.Salmon. They helped her cope and have her tools to cope when she needs.”
