What patients say on Google

“So I came here during a very hard time in my life. I ran out of my meds (sertraline), had lost my job so I couldn’t see my psychiatrist anymore: my first visit I was dealing with some heavy stuff, they had me fill out a sheet, and on the sheet it asks how bad you’re feeling on a scale of 1-10. I put a 6, they pulled me aside and asked me about what I was dealing with. Not only that, I was able to see a doctor/psychiatrist there within 30/45 minutes, and they prescribed me two months worth of my meds that I was able to pickup the same day. Now I will say that I did bring the empty pill bottle with me on my first visit just to make things easier for the staff, so that may have assisted in me getting what I needed. Even after I was able to go and get my medication, they even called me to follow up and ask if I was alright and was able to get what I needed. I’m not sure who may be reading this, but if you take meds similar to mine, you know how bad it can get if you don’t have them for a while. This place will have them sent to your pharmacy of choice and be available for pickup. The only price I had to pay was at the pharmacy THEMSELVES, Marakey did not charge me anything. I went back there this past week to get my meds refilled, got there around 11:30ish, was out by one, same experience. Filled out the sheet, saw the nurse, Doctor, psychiatrist got my meds sent in and picked them up the next day. Wait times can be a little long, but that happens literally anywhere you go. Besides that, I have nothing negative to say about Marakey.”

“I just went to this walk in clinic today, it was my second time there and I'm so appreciative over how kind, compassionate and caring every staff member is. I put off getting treatment for a long time out of fear of not being taken seriously. They treated me with respect, listened to all of my concerns and included me in my own treatment plan, which is a huge relief. They went above and beyond to help me and I am so grateful. Thank you to everyone at Merakey!!!!”

“I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Merakey. I arrived on a Sunday around 2:00 PM as the only person in the office, yet I was left waiting over 30 minutes because staff decided to take lunch during operating hours. When I politely asked about getting a simple medication refill, I was spoken to rudely by a staff member (the head boss lady with glasses) and told that the psychiatrists were unavailable. However, I could clearly hear and see staff and psychiatrists in the lunchroom eating and laughing while I was left waiting with no communication or concern. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and urgency was honestly shocking, especially for a mental health facility where patients rely on timely care and medication access. Patients should not feel ignored or dismissed when seeking help. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and completely let down by the level of care and customer service provided. That was my experience”

“Well overall my experience was pretty good and helpful. But my husband's was um horrible. The first time we went the I'm assuming nurse practitioner (not 100%) we were explaining and I say we because my husband is beyond shy in general when not medicated he freezes he wants me there to help so no problem unfortunately the lady we spoke to pretty much gave a speech why the medication for the most part for years that he takes (seroquel) just couldn't do it. So in a nut shell 2 visits later because his jobs health insurance insane high medicaid he made to much and we were trying to apply for pennie .he just couldn't take the medication anymore it just didn't jive and I said ok maybe we can talk to someone who can like listen to what's going on because you know i explained it's not a doctors office nor an emergency room. Well of the response we got was hey you've been here 4 times we can't help you. This is after maybe 2 minutes of listening which was was awkward anyway in the waiting room. So I'm not really a poster but it hurts because I did get help there and he didn't and to this day is like emergency room hospital or inpatient which shouldn't have to get there.”
