What patients say on Google

“I am so grateful for this organization, my case manager, and everyone else assisting in my case. I've been with them for about a year now and have made great progress in goals towards treatment and stable housing. These people work so hard to do the best for their clients and actually care. I will always be grateful of MHA, and I'd recommend them if you're someone with diagnosed mental illness and aren't really sure how to handle yourself. I cried more than once thinking of how helpful they've been and they've honestly improved my opinion towards strangers in general. Some people really are on your side. A case manager who goes by Simone is especially wonderful. 🩷 - Rhiannon”

“This organization is dedicated to promoting mental wellness through comprehensive care management, education, programs, advocacy, and community supports. MHA also administers the Mel's Place shelter which draws the homeless population to its facility so that they can find the homeless permanent housing, guide them to the proper treatment programs, and help them find employment.”

“profound dissatisfaction with the services I have received from your organization. Initially, I had high hopes upon being referred to you; however, my experience has been disappointing. I have encountered uneducated and understaffed personnel who have provided misleading information, ultimately causing significant distress in my personal life. Most concerning is the coercion I faced when I was admitted to a psychiatric unit, which was traumatic and unsuitable for my needs, resulting in my premature discharge after less than 24 hours. During this time, I was pressured to relinquish my dog, which I do not solely own. My son is currently experiencing anxiety attacks due to the absence of his dog. As a result of these circumstances, I feel compelled to escalate this matter. I am prepared to take my concerns to Albany, seek legal representation, and engage with media outlets to ensure that this situation receives the necessary attention. I strongly encourage you to independently verify any information you receive and to take action to rectify this situation promptly. It is disheartening to navigate a system that operates under the banner of nonprofit yet fails to provide the promised support and assistance in a timely manner. I look forward to your immediate response regarding the return of my dog and resolution of this matter.”

“I give 2 stars because atleast a little help is better than none. This company hires horrible employees. Also the way the Marc agency is ran is now even worse than before. Mental health issues are hard enough to deal with when you add the variable of being taken advantage of people in need it just exacerbates the problem or community is having. Please make better hires and think about how much you charge a working individual in your halfway houses.”
