What patients say on Google
“If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been unfortunately a patient here for 3 years now. I cannot get established with a doctor because every year they change my doctor. I requested that I be seen not by a student so my doctor won't change every year and I was told that wasn't an option. Every year I had to fight with my doctor not to change my med regimen that has worked for me for many years. You'd think as I've had mental health since I was 7 that these people would respect that I know what works for me and doesn't. One doctor didn't even listen to me at all. None of your doctors listened to me. One doctor changed my meds and I ended up with psychosis at the ER. I was met with attitude and sass from the doctors whenever I would tell them don't change my dang meds. Every time I'm in a crisis and need help these people refuse to help. At all. I called 2 days ago because my life exploded and imploded at once and I needed help. Not only can I not just get to a live nurse because when I call I'm directed to a call center now, but then when I did get a nurse on the line I was told to just go to the ER. If anyone has been to a ER here in Augusta with mental health problems you know how horribly you are treated. When I expressed my concern of going to the ER I was transferred to some voicemail that I wasn't told whom it was for. I left a message and I never received a call back. Thankfully I have an amazing primary care physician that makes sure I'm taken care of. This place should be shut down at this point. You can't get in to see a doctor for months. When you are seen you're not listened to and when you're in a crisis they tell you go to the ER and good luck. Terrible place to receive mental health care”
“During your first visit they make you sign an agreement about the consequences of being late/miss your appointment, it goes from paying a fine to being banned from been seeing at this hospital. But it does not stop them for making the pacientes wait forever in the waiting room, today I waited 75 minutes from the time I signed in to the time the doctor finally called me in. Unbelievable disrespect”
“Agree with the waiting to get evaluated - it is frustrating. I've sent my own patients to MCG when they need evaluation for TMS or ECT. Once you get over the hump - they are the best outside of Emory in this state.”
“If you want to have your case reviewed for over a week, then be put on hold for at least an hour over two phone calls, only to be told some poo reason they might not be able to take your case and you should call back in a WHOLE WEEK; then this is the place for you.”
