What patients say on Google
“I have been a patient of Dr. McLemore for nearly three years. As a psychiatrist, I believe she is well-intentioned and generally attentive during appointments, though at times I wish there were more openness to exploring alternative treatment options. My concern, however, is not with her clinical care, but with the experience I have had with her office staff- specifically the receptionist, Leanne. Unfortunately, Leanne’s attitude and communication style have made the process of seeking care unnecessarily stressful. From the beginning, she has come across as cold and unapproachable. Despite my efforts to engage respectfully and maintain a positive tone over time, her demeanor has remained defensive and, at times, confrontational. On July 28, 2025, I received a reminder call about an appointment scheduled for the following morning. I returned the call to reschedule due to a scheduling conflict related to a new teaching position. Rather than working with me to identify a solution, Leanne immediately referenced office policy, stating that I could either cancel with a $124 fee or switch to telehealth. When I asked if she could relay a message to Dr. McLemore to request consideration of a one-time exception, she responded defensively and implied that I should have planned ahead. When I pointed out that I had received the reminder less than 24 hours prior, the conversation became increasingly combative, and the call ended abruptly after a dismissive remark. More recently, on February 16, I called to explain that I had missed my February 12 appointment because I had been bedridden with the flu. I have a doctor’s note verifying this. I was informed that I could reschedule only if I paid a $113 (keeps changing?) fee and that my insurance could not be applied because of the missed appointment. Instead of my usual $35 copay, the cost more than doubled. Given the current economic climate, this is not financially feasible for me. It was discouraging that my illness and documentation did not appear to be taken into consideration, and now I have to go without my meds until I find a new provider. As someone who struggles with anxiety, these interactions have been more than frustrating- they have been deeply discouraging. I now feel hesitant to return to the office, not because of Dr. McLemore’s care, but because the front desk environment does not feel safe or supportive. Patients managing mental health conditions should not encounter additional stress when seeking care. Dr. McLemore, I hope you will take this feedback seriously. The receptionist is often the first and last point of contact for patients, and that experience shapes how your practice is perceived. A more compassionate and professional front office presence would make a meaningful difference for patients like myself.”
“Dr. Mclemore is great, but her staff are extremely rude and uncaring. We were dropped from her schedule without notice when we informed them we had Medicaid. We were previously self pay. When I asked to be seen and offered to continue as self pay, I was denied. She didn’t give an explanation, but kept referring me to another doctor instead of actually listening to what I was saying. In the middle of a crisis, this was so unhelpful and discouraging.”
“Very pleased with this practice. Dr. Mclemore didn't stop til she found the right treatment for my daughter's anxiety. My daughter really likes her, too, and says Dr. Mclemore actually hears her. I don't know why there are reviews complaining about the office staff. The receptionist has always been friendly and helpful. I can't imagine her being any other way!”
“They have a low rate review for a reason. Stay away from this practice. The lady that answered the phone was so rude. If you unhappy to work in this field, please find some other places to be. Such a heartless person.”
