How likely are you to recommend Masci Jarod S MD?
What patients say on Google
“I just had my first appointment and Dr.Masci talked to me more than my psychiatrist had cumulatively over the course of ten years. Seriously. I thought every psychiatrist saw you for 30 seconds. This has been a great experience so far and Dr.Masci is clearly doing something he really, really loves doing. He isn’t going to just throw a bunch of pills at you and call it a day. He takes a very holistic approach and seems to place a lot of importance on treatment as opposed to throwing a band aid on things. After our appointment he showed me around and discussed everything they are a me to offer. It wasn’t a sales pitch, it was being genuinely proud of the practice he had and the level of care he can provide. The one bad review had me concerned but now I realize that he gives each patient his full attention and dropping what he is doing immediately because someone wants their pills and they want them now is not a thing here. If you need an on call doctor or want to yell at someone to feel better you probably need a higher level of care. His employees seem genuinely happy to be there and calling the office and yelling at them doesn’t seem like something that he would let fly (and shouldn’t).”
“If 0 stars was possible I would give that rating. If you decided to contact this practice be prepared for hours of waiting, a "doctor" who will be happier to talk about his own life and well-being (if you even actually meet with him), and a juggling act of care coordination. After a mess up at a pharmacy I was instructed to contact my prescriber, Jarod Masci. After doing so with no answer for three days I had finally gotten an answer by going straight to the billing department, because not a single person on the medical team would even respond (priorities?). Over the phone I was told that the practice could not help me regarding the issue with my prescription, which is a difficult answer when Jarod is the prescriber. So I attempted to contact again after being hung up on. On the second call I overhead Jarod Masci in the background saying "Drop him from the practice if he calls again". Maybe I was out of line to find this rather disturbing that a psychiatrist's private practice is unable to handle two calls regarding something as simple as a prescription. This man can hardly take care of his own life (which you'll most definitely hear about if you sit down and talk with him) let alone assist anyone in their own mental health journey. After deciding to go into the building to try and get a response I was able to schedule an appointment. The day of my appointment I show up 10 minutes early. Big mistake. I then waited two full hours until I was told that Jarod was too busy with clients to meet with me. Why schedule a meeting then? I was handed off to another Doctor on the medical team named Gerald. I had seen Gerald before because of course meeting with Jarod Masci is a one time ordeal and you'll be handed off to anyone else so he doesn't have to talk with a patient. I took what I could get and met with Gerald. No disrespect towards Gerald as he was a kind man, but he had forgotten we had ever met before and was as helpful as a fortune cookie when it came to insight. After spending what was now three hours in this building I had asked to please speak with Masci as he was the only one who could do anything about the prescription that he had written. Gerald instructed me to wait in the hallway for Jarod as he was in the middle of a session with a client. I sat for another 20 minutes waiting for Jarod. I heard his office door open and only him walk out. Seeing me he apologized saying he was helping a client in crisis in his office. Lying about his oh so busy schedule to avoid caring for any patients (real or imaginary) shows what the core of his practice is about. I had brought the paperwork from the pharmacy to show the mistake that was made and he refused to give even 10 seconds of his time to glance at the rather important paperwork. After that I decided it was best to just stay quiet and go home. Before that I was reprimanded for "interrupting", mind you I had decided to stay silent at this point because I foresaw it going no where. Fast forward months later after this terrible experience with this so called mental health care provider. Up to this point I had been just white knuckling life using the tools I know to remain stable. Recently I decided to reach back out to see if I could schedule another meeting and maybe work with the practice again convincing myself that it was my own bad day causing all the problems I've described. After the wonderful front desk workers talked to Masci they reported to me that he would not take me on as a patient because I required a "higher level of care". Confused as to what this meant I asked and they said I should reach out to Evergreen. In conclusion I've gathered that Jarod Masci believes that he is unable to even provided simple outpatient services to a patient with ADHD and is a fraud of a mental health care provider. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else if you care to improve your mental health or wellbeing.”
“My experience has been wonderful with Dr. Masci and his staff. I saw Dr. Masci for the first time in early November 2024. He took all the time that I needed in discussing my issues. He was very kind and compassionate. At his suggestion, I started TMS treatments in mid-November, 2024. I will complete the treatments in a couple of weeks. My experience with his staff has been outstanding. There are 2 receptionists, and 3 TMS technicians. Everyone has been top notch. I have absolutely no complaints.”
“I don't even go here but I know this place is an absolute nightmare. It's a doctor feel good practice. You go in, you pay money, and you wait until the doctor wants to fill your medication. I have family that goes here and every single month they are calling when their scripts are due, unable to get ahold of anyone. And when (and if) they do, are told "the doctor hasn't sent them yet, but will get to them". Any normal doctor will send your medications during your visit so they're able to be picked up either on your way home, or a little later the day you're seen. I overheard the phone conversation with one of the women in the medication department tell my family member that the doctor hasn't sent any scripts in since the 19th of this month. Who knows now how many patients have gone without medications they need. Medications that keep them sane. I have never in my life heard of such a careless place. You pay money to see your doctor every week(s), month, whatever. Instead you see nurses for a few minutes, then have to hope they're passing on the messages to the doctor. And pray that he remembers (or cares enough in his "oh so busy day of seeing very little patients") to send medications in when they're due. Make your money how ever you want to Dr. Masci, but stop being reckless with your patients. Your setting them up for failure.”
