“I’ve waited a year to write this review. I left this place more traumatized than I’ve ever been. I went to this place voluntarily because I was struggling with my anxiety pretty bad. I left this place in full blow psychosis (which I’ve never been in before). When I went to this place I had been on Suboxone for 2 years, before that I was using so all together I haven’t been completely sober at all in about 7 years. So basically I missed my suboxone appointment for that month that I went to this facility so this place would not give me my suboxone. I had to go through full blown detox on this psych ward bed all by myself I honestly had no idea what was happening to me either because I’ve never detoxed like that before. But physically I was going through it and needed medical attention. The staff said they would get someone to check up on me but they never did. For 7 days I did not sleep. I talked to a psychiatrist for 5 minutes the entire 7 days I was there. I tried to tell the nurse my medication was not working (that’s because it was a medication for someone who had schizophrenia and I have panic disorder not schizophrenia) and I was not hearing voices or hallucinating it was just severe intense anxiety, also coming off suboxone led to anxiety induced psychosis. Anyways the nurse told me that there is no magic pill that’s gonna help me. So no one was listening to me no one would help me I was very sleep deprived and I had to go to these group things everyday because that’s how you earn your way out of here. I also didn’t eat the entire time I was there. I lost probably 20 pounds during this whole thing. The nurses and staff here were really mean and unprofessional. I’ve just recently stopped having nightmares about this place and now go to therapy because of how traumatized I felt.”

“Pretty bad I was in there for like 2 weeks and I felt like I was in jail. The food was horrible and was always wrong. Most of the staff were kind and caring toward me but to certain others not so much. Nothing to do outside of Art which honestly made me appreciate it more. Its FREEZING in there and all you get is a very thin blanket. Windows caged up cant go outside cant have your phone and sometimes you have a sitter with you 24/7 LITERALLY. The coffee is decaf which sucks but I will say from my experience most of the patients are very cool and some even misunderstood we were like a brotherhood in there. Overall I would say if you need the help go somewhere at least. This is the only Ward ive been to and they kinda force you to take meds or youll be in there longer for me thats a good thing cause the depression is minimized significantly and the voices stop all together but thats me idk if there are other Psych Wards in Cleveland but if you need help go, although Idk if this is the one to go to.”

“I'll give 5 stars just because Wes was an awesome nurse. And Ashley was very nice too. the nurses are very cool. They show they care. The group activities are fun sometimes it's music sometimes it's art. Went there twice 4 days each. It wasn't that bad. Love the snack time got hooked on baked lays potato chips because of this place lol. Food is just ok. The stay kind of helped it got me feeling better.”

“I visited a friend here last week, and was HORRIFIED at the conditions. The Cleveland Clinic should be ashamed of themselves for the condition of this place. I saw mold on ceiling tiles, crust and dirt everywhere, and every surface seemed to have a stain of one kind or another. The only "activities" that patients are permitted to do involve coloring...with a box of markers that were all dry. The TV didn't work, there was no music, no social activity of any kind was offered to patients, other than being in the common area to pace back and forth. If you've seen "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" then you have an idea of what a better facility than this would look like. When I was visiting a friend, her nurse was on loan from the cardiology department. She was appalled at the condition of the place. Her direct quote was "I need to report this to someone. No patient should have to stay in this filth." The bright spot is the nursing staff. They were doing the best they could, with the tools they had. The computers would often go down, and meds couldn't be administered, but they did their best to keep everyone calm. The ones I had interactions with were caring and kind. The nuns that were there on occasion were also so nice and sweet. I want to give an extra star just for them, but I can't bring myself to do it. Anywhere, but here. Literally...anywhere.”
