What patients say on Google

“I'll say that they are nice, seems like they care. However, during the shutdown of maryhaven, I am not happy with the communication between my Dr and I.. she was taking me off a medication and didn't tell me that, messed up on it, had to fix it.. then when I saw her again she never specified anything but I was aware she was taking me off by this appointment. However, this appointment I wasn't told to make 30 pills last 30 days because it was never said and she scheduled me sooner, and the script said take 2 a day as needed. When you have GAD/SOCIAL ANXIETY you definitely need at least two a day, and I wasn't able to pick up my meds. Wanted me to go without them for two weeks, because of lack of communication. Thankfully the pharmacy allowed me to pick them up after communicating this to them. As if she wanted me to feel worse or what not. 😡 I like her, I don't like how I wasn't told from the get. PERIOD!”

“Mary Haven of marysville has been a welcome place to me for nearly 10 Years. Ive always felt welcomed and that my treatment was important and recovery possible!! Im DEEPLY saddened that my one source of Hope is ending and being minimized. God bless the staff and hope to a better future.”

“This place was not for me! It was definitely not my safe place from my abuser regardless of why they were there or the 'claim' for the reason being there...what happened to 'everything you say can be used against you',nothing!!! 'My job is to keep you alive and out of prison' as the counselor told me.Now they are in control of my decisions too!!! Then I get a discharge paper, probably for insurance reasons, stating that goals weren't met or some crap like that....number one reason is becuase my goals were completely different from the 'lesson plan' the counselors teach from....'moving on','getting over it' or whatever can be heard from just about anyone on the street and it is not the only option for everybody. There was no 'personal' feeling in any session, just like Alcoholics Anonymous just repeat the same sad story and get the same advice 'forget the past all at the same time remembering that you've survived before'....lame!!! I did not receive the attention I needed or hoped for....the system hasn't changed in 30 yrs and you guys still don't understand or have made any attempts to adapt to present time issues and more ways yo actually help than 'keep me alive and out of prison'.....thank you,I'll make those decisions on my own.....not a complete waste of time but pretty close to wasting 8 months of my life....everything is a lesson and I certainly learned not to believe even the counselors anymore.”

“The staff at Maryhaven were generally friendly and helpful. However, my experience with my therapist was somewhat disappointing. While she was friendly, she didn't seem to take the time to truly understand me as an individual. I am emotionally intelligent and have a strong spiritual foundation, which I believe the therapist didn't fully consider. For example, the therapist repeatedly suggested coping mechanisms that I already employ in my daily life based on my own personal experiences. When I explained that I was already familiar with these techniques, the response was often dismissive, such as "Oh okay, well I suggest you do that." I felt that the therapist could have benefited from a deeper understanding of my unique needs and background before making specific recommendations.”
