What patients say on Google

“We are so fortunate to have Muhiba as our daughters' speech therapist. She has worked with both our kids for the past several years (at a different center), and has been an incredible support to them, despite their needs being very different from each other. She is such a wealth of knowledge, and has helped us understand our autistic daughter's speech patterns (gestalt language), while helping her build on language and communication. We love that she addresses sensory regulation during sessions. It's made a big difference - we were so lost before meeting her! Her collaboration with school and ABA is also much appreciated. She is observant, proactive, and never dismissive of concerns we have had. Muhiba is a delight to work with, and I'm certain anyone who has worked with her as their speech therapist would feel similarly.”

“Extremely disappointing customer service. I have called this business multiple times, left messages, and have yet to receive a return phone call. At this point, it’s not a matter of simply being busy—it’s a complete lack of communication and professionalism. If you are going to operate a business, responding to current or potential customers should be one of the most basic expectations. No one should have to repeatedly chase down a business just to get a simple phone call returned. Wouldn’t recommend.”

“We submitted the intake form two weeks ago and never received a confirmation email. Nobody from Mala contacted us either. I left a message last week and never got a respond. I called this morning again, and couldn't reach anybody in their office. Our intake form and voice message seem to be needles in a haystack and get lost completely. I saw a couple of other reviews describing similar situations. Very disappointed. Is this office still functioning? Update: right after I post this review, somebody called me and said there is a slot on next Monday. She told me she will send me a form to fill out. Then a few days passed and I never received any form. I am still waiting for the form.”

“I completely understand that therapy offices are often overwhelmed, and that appointment slots can be hard to come by. I was thrilled to finally receive a call from Mala Child & Family Institute on April 1st offering me a Friday evening slot. I confirmed my interest and was told onboarding paperwork would be sent to my email, but I never received anything. I followed up twice via email and never received a response. As of today (April 23rd), I still haven’t heard back. This isn’t just a casual inconvenience. This is a therapy office. A place people turn to when they’re struggling, often after building up a lot of courage just to reach out. For some, this might be their first experience asking for help. Ghosting someone after offering an appointment, without any explanation, can be genuinely harmful. It reinforces the fear that seeking help will lead to rejection or dismissal. After seeing another review describing a similarly careless experience, it’s clear this may not be an isolated incident. I hope this feedback helps Mala reflect on the seriousness of their role. People seeking therapy deserve to be treated with basic follow-through and respect.”
