What patients say on Google
“i have been working with Michael at Magnus Health for about a year (though my screen name is anonymous to protect my privacy). MIchael's guidance has definitely provided me with positive improvements in my life. He is an excellent listener and has strong recall of previous discussions. That is helpful so you aren't wasting time and energy rehashing old conversations and because it enables him to calibrate his comments with previous discussion as context. He is very knowledgeable with the techniques and theory of Gottman which i find to be applicable to my situation. Using this knowledge, he provides practical approaches, including take home exercises/techniques, that I utilize to implement changes in my day-to-day life. Michael provided a treatment plan early on and revisits it with me periodically. This holds us both accountable for progress and allows the plan to have an end so it doesn't drag on forever. Michael will make suggestions or ask probing questions (e.g. he doesn't just sit back and say, " I see, and how does that make you feel :-) ), yet throughout our time together, I never felt our discussions put me on the defensive or were uncomfortable. Based on all that, I would highly recommend Magnus to anybody.”
“I reached out to Michael because I was feeling “discombobulated” – having a hard time sorting through positive and negative thoughts and feelings about a situation. I wanted to get a perspective to see if I was seeing things correctly, to get clarity, and to find a path forward. Through Michael’s guidance, I got all three. Michael helped me become “un-discombobulated”. I learned about “radical acceptance”. I learned how to turn confusion into clarity. I learned about “boundaries”, why they matter, and how to set them. Ultimately, I ended up with a path forward – a game plan. Michael also helped me turn perceived “vulnerabilities and weaknesses” into assets and strengths. Engaging with Michael will go down as a pivotal positive moment in my life, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am that our paths crossed.”
“I highly recommend Michael. I’ve been a patient on and off over the past five years, and I really appreciate his approach and how he utilizes the Gottman Method. His services feel like a must for anyone who is thinking about marriage or just wants to deepen their relationship with their partner.”
