What patients say on Google

“I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience with Love Without Walls in the hope that no one else has to go through what I did. My son and I have both been patients here for the past two years. During that time, I had four different therapists because staff turnover was so high. While that was frustrating, I continued my care because I was making progress and had been stable on the same medication regimen for two years. Last month, I called to schedule my regular monthly appointment and was given the runaround for several days before an appointment was finally scheduled. Then, the therapist never called for the appointment. The following month, when I called again to reschedule, I was shocked to be told that I had been discharged from the practice. No one had notified me. No phone call. No email. No letter. Nothing. When I asked why I hadn't been informed so I could establish care with another provider before running out of medication, the response I received was, "We'll send you a letter now." That response was incredibly disappointing. Sending a discharge letter *after* a patient discovers they've been discharged is not how continuity of care should work. Patients receiving mental health treatment deserve timely communication so they can make appropriate arrangements. Abruptly ending care without notice can disrupt treatment and create unnecessary stress for people who are already in a vulnerable position. Mental health providers have a responsibility to communicate professionally and ensure patients have a reasonable opportunity to continue their care elsewhere. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Looking back, I understand why there was so much therapist turnover. I can't speak to why individual therapists left, but after experiencing how this office handled my care, I was left questioning the overall professionalism of the practice. I'm extremely disappointed. After two years of treatment, I expected far better communication, compassion, and professionalism. I hope the practice improves its patient communication and discharge procedures so others don't find themselves unexpectedly without the care and medication management they depend on.”

“I highly suggest looking elsewhere for services this facility claims to provide. The office staff, Brenda Filyaw and Jackie Billups who work in the front office are extremely rude, manipulative and appear to find joy being especially difficult to deal with. These two women do not possess the people skills nor compassion for dealing with others. They will try to twist anything you say or do into something that vilifies you and eliminates any personal responsibility on their part. They are not good people. Stay away from this facility. **The “situation” that is referenced below by Love Without Walls never happened. It is one example of how manipulative these people are, how they lie and how malicious they choose to be when you speak the truth. It is unfortunate that someone would lower themselves to such a level but to each their own.** For anyone interested in reading more about how these individuals really are, check out their other negative reviews.”

“Christine is the most accommodating, caring, empathetic, hardworking, person I have ever met. She goes above and beyond to see her patients are comfortable and moving toward a better brighter future. Honestly the entire office is like that. You can’t go wrong.”

“The office staff is wonderful. Miss Jackie has an ever waiting smile to greet you every visit. I have been a client for 18 months. They have gone through some transitions to expand their staff and services. My therapist is fantastic. She meets me at my level and appropriately challenges me to be a better version of myself.”
