How likely are you to recommend Louisiana Behavioral Health?
What patients say on Google
“I'm incredibly grateful for my experience at this facility. From the moment I arrived, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely valued. Not a single day went by where I felt like I didn't have a voice. The staff exceeded all of my expectations. Every person I encountered was compassionate, professional, and truly passionate about helping others. Their kindness, patience, and dedication made a significant difference in my recovery. If I had known about this facility sooner, I would have enrolled much earlier without hesitation. I also appreciated how welcoming and supportive the environment was for both military members and civilians. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care in a respectful and encouraging environment.”
“"This isn't a Holiday Inn" - a floor technician I stayed for two weeks and this is how I'd rate it all: Sanitation: 1/5 - they keep the floors clean by mopping once a day. The bathrooms, tables (dining, recreation), chairs do not get visited. You'd think a clinic would have this down. I got three separate infections while I was there. There's no paper towels stocked anywhere for some reason, and they also don't like to give tissues. Food: 2/5 - I saw two instances of allergen violations on others (peanut butter, tomatoes), but no one died. There's three meals a day which mostly line up with the menu, but they're basically TV dinners. The calories are subsidized with high calorie snacks; think cookies and PB/J. Doctors: 5/5 - Extremely competent, push the minimum amount of meds and aim for successful treatment. Techs: 1-5 - They're underpaid, so most just sit on their phone and get an attitude when you actually need something (try asking for water while they're on til tok). They'll even talk behind your back or fall asleep on shift (night shift we can hear you snoring). Some of them are actually really friendly and deserve raises. They're also pretty under-manned, but we were only left *alone* a couple times. Therapists/Therapy: 4/5 - The therapists are well-rounded and draw from life experience, but the group sessions are short and can leave a lot to be desired. Recreation: 2/5 - It's basically jail, you've got cards, coloring books, and a TV. There's a phone available for several hours a day, but it dies frequently. They have scheduled gym time but we always get taken to our living area instead. Safety: 3.5/5 - Furniture is designed to prevent injury, personal belongings are confiscated on entry aside from toothbrush, toothpaste, and clothes. Vitals and labs are taken every day. You always have a roommate, but you're only stuck with them at night. Patents that act out are usually moved to a sepcific hall, but there's always that risk. Ethics: 2/5 - The idea behind the place is to prevent people from harming themselves or dying, which is fine, there's plenty of good measures in place for that and it's a difficult problem to solve without taking away many liberties. The first issue is that in patient people can't leave or use their phone. If your life wasn't completely in order before you came in, use your imagination, because the average stay is 3 days to 2 weeks. There's a lot of strange psychology regarding the communication of your out-process date, I've seen people get their date, and then be told it was getting moved with no particular explanation. Some insurance has limits on the covered duration. They had me sign a paper acknowledging that my expected stay was completely covered by insurance. When I left, I got a bill the next week for 564$. Somehow they lost my insurance information or something. There's just a lot of negativity and dehumanization embedded into the process that it really starts to feel like they need you to come back.”
“I had a great experience with the PHP program. The staff was professional, supportive, and always willing to help. The program was well organized and provided valuable resources and guidance throughout. I learned a lot and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a positive and helpful program.”
“I turned 30 in march & have battled many mental health issues since a young age. I’ve gone through many many therapist as well as been inpatient at different facilities before. I had inquired abt this place before , set everything up to begin treatment, i would call & r/s multiple times bc my head would tell me “you don’t need this”. finally in april of 2026 i decided i couldn’t do it anymore, I begged God to just show me what I had to do, to slow me down & lead the way.. Then i ended up here, to say it was one of the best decisions i have ever made would be an understatement. the whole entire staff from the front desk to the LUNCH lady to the janitors i have felt welcomed, safe & not like an outsider or just another story. Even the director is more than a director , these people here treat us like one of them, & when i say they go above & beyond to make the transition comfortable in such an uncomfortable trying time, coming from someone who gave up on “healing” “therapy” & trying to get better, if it wasn’t for this place & their STAFF my daughter wouldn’t have another day with me. I wouldn’t have made it here today to be able to type this. I’ve made family, true friends that actually understand & not once judge me, they don’t say sorry here, they don’t tell you to be strong here, they pick you up & carry you thru when you can’t find the strength to do it. They don’t push religion but I found God in this place & it’s become my safe place. Will forever be thankful for this place & THE STAFF 💚 bc here, truly NO ONE fights alone, these “therapists” aren’t therapists their Angels & i promise it will change every aspect of your life for the good even if you feel like there’s no way out.”
