“I just drove 32 hours in a 2 day span to rescue my child from this Facility. I DO NOT recommend this to any child suffering from mental health issues. EVER! DO NOT send your children here please!! Here is why. He was housed on a unit with children younger than him. He was extremely sick and remained ill the entire 3 weeks. The day after I flew him out there they immediately took him off medications without tapering. Then they started a medication without consent. Both illegal in the state we're from. Period. The risk management staff is completely unprofessional. She was screaming at me on the phone and making jabs and outlandish excuses as to why he was on "cr" every few days(all your belongings /hygiene are stripped). In recreation another peer pulled out a "shank" and threatened to stab others. My son was bullied every single day to the point where He couldn't "level up" and remained with no privdleges ever gained. Bullied Not only by staff but peers as well to the pointof tears and extreme instigations and self harm ideology. He was told there were therapy goats. Saw them once for 5 min. Promised to be allowed to fish in their pond(never did). He had a plan to escape and told me exactly how he'd do it, unfortunately the "medical band" they place on the ankle is truly a GPS device, he would have been gone forever. The food is "slop". Cockraches crawling on the day room floor. He was roommates with a kid who threatened his life multiple times to where the last week of residency he did not sleep. They only get 2 phone calls a week. 20 minutes each, except if they cry at all they are told to hang up the phone. Kids were jumping other kids daily. One of the nurses was clearly on drugs and actively high on the clock.(nurse Kati) There is a supervisor named X who is physically and verbally taunting kids as well. If you want your child fearing for their life and in imminent danger, please send them here. (Joking, my dark humor) The CHILDREN are NOT SAFE here!! We experienced our worst nightmare. To add my son has autism, sensory issues, adhd, bi polar, depression, suicide attempt, and he's also neurodivergent. They did nothing to aid or care for his disabilities. This place is awful 😖 Don't bother calling them. NO ONE answers the phone ever. The correspondence is 24 to 72 hours of you're lucky.”

“I cannot say enough positive things about this facility. When my son was first admitted to Little Creek it was a very new facility with a subpar program. In the three years I have been apart I have seen a transformation from the top down of staff and administrators that now would rival any facility in the US. There is a true deaf culture that has allowed my son to get the treatment needed while not being alienated by lack of communication. The director has done a great job transforming this facility from just a new building to being a save haven for children in need. My family and I thank all the staff and administrators who treatment for my son possible!!!”

“A few years ago I was forced to go here and this place is horrible, when I would self harm or get suicidal, everything that comforted me was taken, and the staff treated me horribly, there was one supervisor who was fired for throwing a girl on the ground and hurting her knee, he had to be picked up and physically dragged off the unit, everyday there were fights, the staff played favorites, the staff are very disrespectful, the only good thing about this place is the owner, he would bring ice cream sometimes and was the only nice person there, by the time I finally got out of there, my mental health was way worse than before. That place should be shut down. The kids unit at one point in the bathroom was covered in pee but everyone was still expected to use it, one time under my mattress there was what looked like a whole colony of ants and I was forced to sleep in there anyway, one of my roommates threatened to stab me in my sleep and I had to keep sleeping in there and nothing was done about it. That place is the worst place in the world. Never send your kid there.”

“I am eternally grateful to each and every staff member at Little Creek and Safarie with Arcadia for their unwavering commitment to providing the best possible care for my daughter. Their professionalism, expertise, and compassion have truly transformed her life and our family's experience. Words cannot adequately express the depth of my appreciation for the positive impact Little Creek had on my daughter's well-being and future. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and support in our lives. Your dedication and genuine care has given us renewed hope and optimism for her future. We are forever grateful for the difference you have made and will always cherish the memories and lessons she has gained under your guidance. I highly recommend Little Creek for a BHRF after years of my daughter struggling there is finally a light. From admission to discharge they were amazing and supportive.”
