What patients say on Google
“I initially went to Lifeways for therapy, but since they were fully booked, I was referred to Segue Inc. The therapist I received was inexperienced and unhelpful—she often suggested strategies I had already tried or was already familiar with. After about five months, I decided it was in my best interest to request a different therapist. This turned out to be one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. I spent a month calling with no response. When I escalated and spoke to someone higher up, that person was welcoming and helpful, and she managed to get in touch with the head of Segue. I finally received a call back, but it was met with more gaslighting, delays, and further missed calls. Eventually, I called again to terminate any dealings with them. I was assured that termination paperwork would be sent—but it never arrived. A few months later, I received a notice in the mail stating that my services were being terminated because I had not attended therapy sessions. This was incredibly frustrating and completely inaccurate. I would strongly suggest finding a therapist outside of Lifeways and Segue. My experience with them was nerve-wracking, unprofessional, and completely unsatisfactory. Rating: 0/5 – Do not recommend.”
“I’m extremely frustrated with how Lifeways handles missed appointments and access to care. I had to reschedule an appointment due to an emergency. When I later missed the rescheduled appointment, it was counted as two missed visits, which resulted in me being denied services for three months. This same thing happened again when I had to reschedule due to starting a new job and then missed the follow-up. I understand that attendance policies are important, but counting one situation as multiple no-shows and then cutting someone off from care—especially mental health services and necessary medication—is excessive and harmful. People seeking mental health support often deal with unpredictable life circumstances, and policies like this only create more barriers. I am actively trying to get help, and instead I’m being denied access to services over what is essentially one missed appointment. Lifeways needs to seriously reconsider how these policies are applied, especially when it impacts someone’s ability to receive care and medication.”
“Nice place but very unprepared. I got a bill in the mail and find out they don't accept hsa and has to be cash or check. I later on go in with cash and they told me I don't have any change. I said we'll if your only taking cash and check you need to have change .this place is not prepared or well managed and they don't tell you in advance about payments. I then told the lady we won't be coming back here anymore and that I have never went to a medical/mental health place that doesn't accept fsa or hsa and they are now the only one I know of. The place needs better management and employees that let the patients know in advance before the appointments.”
“Doctors think they're dictators. You may feel better, be stable and guess what!? Time to change your meds. For what?! Healing is definitely linear here, everybody's body works the same to those "Doctors". Pretty sad we as patients are put in these positions, or life depends on our care. We also deserve quality of life!”
