What patients say on Google

“My psychiatrist Chandra from Lifestance has been the best I've ever had. And she has helped me immensely. She goes out of her way to help and genuinely cares about her patients and goes the extra mile. I've recommended multiple friends who have had the same experience.”
Daniel Snider
“The problem with LifeStance is the lack of scheduling resources. They never answer the phone. You can call 100 times in a row, and nobody ever picks up. When you arrive, the lobby is empty. Someone was working the front desk once. Nobody appears to work here regularly but the therapists. There's a customer portal, but you can't manage appointments or cancel appointments. You can't reschedule. There isn't even an email option for scheduling. You have to select "question" and send an email, even if you don't have a question. You just need to reschedule. LifeStance makes it impossible to cancel appointments, because if you miss one, they can charge you out of pocket. I had a set date/time for an appointment. My therapist asked if we could change my schedule, which I agreed to do. It was a mistake. I should have exercised assertiveness and said no, assertiveness being a skill I'm working on in therapy. Evidently, the LifeStance therapy isn't helping, because I failed to use the skill I'm trying to learn from the organization I'm paying to teach me. I spent my lunch break driving across town for my regularly scheduled appointment, and when I arrived, I owed $100 for a missed appointment. I was going to therapy to help reduce stress and learn assertiveness. This place fails to check either box. I'd go elsewhere for therapy.”

“I had a first appointment with Jordan Collins, PhD that left me feeling judged rather than supported. He made dismissive comments about my living situation and reacted unprofessionally when I disclosed my relationship style. When I mentioned RSD, he seemed unfamiliar with it outside of a textbook context and immediately connected it to BPD and bipolar rather than recognizing it as common in neurodivergent people. He pushed repeatedly about a past trauma I wasn't ready to discuss, and when I became guarded he accused me of not wanting help. When I asked him to take accountability he became defensive. He also disclosed his background is in sports medicine and he is branching out to anxiety treatment. I do not believe he is a safe provider for women, trauma survivors, or LGBTQIA+ clients. I cried all afternoon and will never go back.”
Jeanie Rathgeber
“It is almost impossible to get ahold of someone by phone here. I tried to get ahold of someone here several times and I ended up being transferred to the Decatur office somehow. I was also transferred to someone named Roland several times. I just wanted to talk to someone in the Springfield office.”
Mike Moseley
