How likely are you to recommend LifeStance Therapists & Psychiatrists Oswego?
What patients say on Google
“In my personal experience, I wish I could give LifeStance Health zero stars, because even one star feels undeserved. I chose online appointments for convenience, but from my perspective, the care I received felt disorganized and harmful. I was diagnosed and prescribed medication in a way that did not feel accurate to me, and I repeatedly communicated that I did not believe I met the criteria for that diagnosis. I also explained that the medication did not seem to be helping. I felt dismissed and judged rather than listened to. It appeared to me that instead of reevaluating my concerns, the response was simply to increase my dosage, which made me feel significantly worse. When I reached out asking to discontinue the medication, I did not receive a response within a timeframe that felt safe or appropriate to me. Without guidance and feeling unsupported, I made the personal decision to stop taking the medication on my own, which was extremely difficult. This is not something I would recommend, and it was a stressful experience for me, especially as a college student navigating it alone. I felt that my situation was not handled with the care or urgency I expected from a mental health provider. Billing was another ongoing issue. Despite my understanding that I provided updated insurance information to more than one representative, I was still charged the full amount. From September through January, I contacted LifeStance repeatedly in an attempt to resolve what I believed to be a billing error. Each time, I had to explain the situation again, and from my experience, little to no progress was made for several months. This process was exhausting and added unnecessary stress. Overall, this review reflects my own experience and opinions, but I personally did not feel supported, heard, or properly cared for. Mental health services require organization, communication, and trust, and in my experience, LifeStance fell short in these areas. If you are seeking mental health care, I would encourage you to thoroughly research your options and choose a provider you feel confident will prioritize your well-being.”
“5 stars for Lynette 4 stars that she is no longer there. She was a great therapist. I was very reluctant to do therapy but she made everything comfortable and easy and I really appreciated her impact.”
“The check in process within the patient portal at Lifestance is repetitive, long, and you are required to use it every time you have an appointment. You can absolutely tell this place is corporate. The billing department is a nightmare to deal with if you can get through. What they have in their system never matches the bill they email you. It’s extremely difficult to even reach billing and I usually get hung up on after about 45 minutes of being on hold, so it’s best to choose the option where they call you back instead. As far as the therapists go, I tried two of them, but was not satisfied with my experience. My sessions were going nowhere and there was way too much time waisted with repetitive dialogue. I usually found myself feeling anxious or frustrated after my session. I’ve chosen to terminate my relationship with this business and have since found a great therapist elsewhere. I look forward to going to therapy now and have seen growth & change in myself. Listen to the reviews, I do not recommend this business.”
“Can’t wait for another session and I loved all the feed back from her”
