“I do not feel fully comfortable writing this review because my name is attached, but I felt the need to leave it. The faculty here is alright - I had one good session with a provider years ago, and one bad session with a different provider recently. However, the administration is terrible and it is essentially impossible to contact them. Bad sessions happen, finding a therapist is a process and takes time. After the aforementioned session, I wanted to cancel the next session I had scheduled. I tried to cancel online, but the absolutely useless patient portal told me I had no upcoming sessions despite receiving a text telling me that I had a scheduled appointment coming up. When I called, a receptionist, who did not identify themself, told me that I had a duplicate chart for an unknown reason, that the provider had created future appointments for me that I did not ask for or consent to, and then deleted all of my upcoming appointments. I was assured that because the provider had deleted the appointments, that I would not have to attend, and would not be required to pay a cancellation fee. After entering the 48-hour cancellation fee window, I received another text that I had an appointment scheduled, despite being told that it had been deleted and I would not need to attend. I called and was placed on hold for 15 minutes, after which the phone system automatically connected me to a different office - NOT Oak Park. The receptionist there told me that the provider had re-created the deleted appointment after the cancellation fee window had begun, and scheduled recurring appointments out into the future, which I did not ask for or consent to. I was also told that the Oak Park receptionist did not log my call in any way, so whether I am charged a cancellation fee for this session that I was told would not be incurring a fee would be down to what the practice management sees when analyzing the phone records. If I am charged a fee I plan to open a dispute with my bank. Why are providers able to prevent patients from cancelling appointments until the cancellation fee window begins?”
“The worst experience I have had with a psychiatrist. The policies are not policies that work well with anyone with medications that are always on the shortage list. I even went ahead and tried one of their therapist who specializes in CBT, but the extremely young lady with little experience did not have much for me that I’m not already doing. Psychiatrist was not collaborating. She just steam rolled me constantly, doesn’t let me finish what I was saying, made snarky comments in response to my grievances, gaslighted me, and on and on. The people in the offices are not knowledgeable of their own companies policies. I’ve caught both doctors and office staff in a lie. I just don’t see how this company has 4.4 star rating. It’s really terrible and should be reported to appropriate authorities which I am looking into doing.”
“No Issues with the Therapist but with operations, Yes. They charge you with no warning. You will be charged over 100 dollars if you cancel within 2 business days of your appointment. Very unforgiving or understanding. Today I called to cancel my account and was told this was a special request and they will call me back in 2 business days. I talked to someone named CY. I have no appointments scheduled, they just charged my account over 100 dollars today but an hour after seeing this charge they still tell me I owe another $20 dollars. The automated system that charges your bank account is wrong all the time. It's a shame because they do have very nice Therapists but they operate on a messed up automated system and the people working there act like wanting to cancel your account is unheard of. CY told me knowone ever calls to cancel their account. So people go to therapy forever? Thats messed up. Don't get in bed with this company.”
“$100 charge because I had to cancel a day earlier. Also unprofessional. Bad experience!”
