What patients say on Google
“Betsy (Elizabeth) was super kind and took her time getting to know me to begin establishing as a new patient. Office space is welcoming and comfortable. Had a wonderful first visit and am glad to have found a caring practitioner.”
“An absolute terrible experience here. Two of my four appointments were canceled by the provider; one of which I was never notified of (and the other was a last minute notification). I drove through a foot of snow and terrible road conditions just to be told at the front desk the appointment had been canceled. I received no phone call, no text, nothing. Not a single apology. On top of that, the provider let my medication lapse due to their missed appointment (that they prescribed and started me on at the previous appointment knowing it was just enough until the follow-up appointment). I requested a refill on the app and also told front desk that I would be out of medication that day. I even contacted the number for LifeStance, it took them almost a week to actually send in the refill to the pharmacy. I never received a single apology from anyone involved with LifeStance. Never again.”
“I’ve been hesitant on speaking with a psychiatrist for many many years because of “stigma” behind it especially in the black community & just also being so afraid that taking this route would not work for me or that there’s no cure to my concerns. & I’ve also just always really been against taking medication for mental health but I had been struggling and decided to try and give seeing a psychiatrist a chance. LifeStance stood out to me because it had a 4.9 star review when I was initially searching for help. My 1st visit was via telehealth. It went okay, i described my concerns & symptoms and was prescribed medication the 1st session. I gave the medication 3-4 weeks to really decide if it was right and working for me & although I felt within the 2nd week that the medication was not right for me (caused extreme rage & irritability) I continued taking it because I know you need to give the meds a few weeks to see the full affects & work out it’s kinks. I also just didn’t want to bother the dr with concerns before fully giving it a chance. My SECOND & final session (because I don’t want to return) was in person. I voiced my experience with the medication and how I felt it was not working in the areas I was hoping it would & also how it affected me. I felt very offended by a comment the psychiatrist made basically stating that I shouldn’t be reliant on medication (WHICH I 100% am NOT) it literally took me years to even build the courage to see someone and I felt as if she was trying to make me seem like a junkie or someone just seeking to be medicated … really left a bad taste in my mouth and just confirmed what I felt like this whole experience would be in the first place. I don’t think I’ll continue seeking psychiatric care honestly. I don’t think taking medication for mental health is really for me at this point. Also the inside of the establishment was very nice and clean & the front receptionist was super kind to me! So that was a plus during this disappointing experience.”
“Terrible experience, DO NOT come to LifeStance if you value your time, money or having a competent doctor and an uninterrupted supply of your important prescriptions. Was placed with an incompetent Nurse Practitioner that struggled to do VERY BASIC arithmetic for prescription dosages that didn't even need to be changed. NOT someone whom you would want to prescribe IMPORTANT medications. Then there is the FILTHY office. The first thing I noticed was how DIRTY the floors were. Littered with visible dirt and scraps of paper that had obviously been there for sometime. The "Nurse Practitioner" kept a paper plate over their coffee cup while they were not drinking it. I found that pretty odd, given the filthy floors, I think they were trying to keep something out of their coffee”
