What patients say on Google
“I have been working with Joanne Mayer for several years now and I can't say enough good about her. She is a highly skilled therapist that always gives me tools that educate me and help me deal with some of the challenges that come with life. I take notes each time I meet with her and those notes on things like grounding and anxiety have helped me in significant ways. She said something profound today when I talked about anxiety and I want to share it: "Anxiety is adaptive. It is not bad in and of itself. Without anxiety we wouldn’t be motivated to do anything. " No matter what she is being paid, I suggest you double it. She's a rock star! Thank you so much Jodi!”
“Totally reckless practice. I scheduled an appointment over a month ago to see Dr. Pertschuk, and just today—a couple weeks before the actual date—I received a text telling me to call the office. I was then informed they needed to reschedule. No reason but that's irrelevant. The front office staff were super polite and friendly, but the next available appointment is over a month out. I already had a confirmed appointment, and now I’m being pushed back through no fault of my own. This level of disorganization is completely unacceptable, especially in the context of mental health care. It’s not just poor management—it’s reckless and harmful. If you can't maintain a functioning schedule or prioritize patients' well-being, especially when something has already been booked, only to be pushed back another month+ you shouldn’t be in this field. I’ll be looking for care elsewhere, and I will also be filing a formal complaint with the appropriate board in Pennsylvania. Update: My experience with Lifestance Health has been shockingly unprofessional and unreliable. Last year, a provider canceled on me and I was pushed out more than a month. I let it go and assumed it was an isolated issue. It just happened again. Another provider left, and instead of Lifestance responsibly transitioning patients or prioritizing continuity of care, I was once again pushed out over a month. When you are actively managing medications and relying on consistent follow up, that kind of delay is not an inconvenience. It is reckless. Staff turnover is not an excuse. Competent leadership plans for it. There appears to be no real system in place to protect patients when providers leave. That reflects a serious failure at the management and clinical director level. What makes this worse is that I found a new provider who was able to see me within one week. This level of disruption is not unavoidable. It is the result of poor organization and lack of accountability. If you are in the King of Prussia area and need reliable care, I would be very weary of this practice”
“Made it easy for me to contact my therapist, and even said what to do if something should go wrong with the connection. Thank you. Quality of my session was also very good!”
“This review is not a reflection of the therapists or doctors, rather the company as a whole. Of course it’s backed by a private equity firm. Patient care deteriorates when these massive companies swallow up small medical practices and buy doctors. Spouse needed a refill of an important medication and didn’t hear back from the doctor or anyone for four days despite multiple phone calls and messages. Emailed the wecare email they suggest in their replies and no response either. This is just unacceptable, especially when this medication is needed to remain employed. My own experience was that I had already seen the therapist and was waiting months to see the doctor, only to be abruptly told I could no longer see the doctor because they are not taking “new patients.” I was not a new patient! Both myself and my spouse have had a negative experience with this company and are looking elsewhere.”
