What patients say on Google

“I rarely leave negative reviews, but after three visits, I feel obligated to share my experience. The doctor I see has been kind and professional, and I have no complaints about her care. Unfortunately, Veronica at the front desk made this process unnecessarily stressful and disorganized. From my very first appointment, there were issues. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM, yet the office doors remained locked until after 8:05 despite their strict cancellation and lateness policies for patients. When I politely mentioned the doors had been locked, Veronica responded with irritation and argumentative behavior instead of professionalism. The biggest issue has been my ongoing attempt to get paperwork processed for my Trintellix medication. During my second visit, I handed over forms that needed to be faxed and was assured it would be handled. Three weeks later, I discovered the paperwork had apparently never been processed or even brought to my doctor’s attention. At my third visit, I was then told I needed to sign a release form — something no one mentioned during the previous three weeks despite having my paperwork the entire time. I was also told I would receive a call back regarding the issue, which never happened. When I followed up myself, I was met with finger-pointing, denial, and a complete lack of accountability. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the conversation became defensive and dismissive. What disturbed me most was overhearing a staff member mute a phone conversation and mockingly refer to someone as a “mental health patient.” In a mental health office, compassion, empathy, and professionalism should be the standard — not an afterthought. People seeking mental health treatment are already vulnerable enough. Patients should not be made to feel ignored, dismissed, or like they are simply a problem to deal with. Again, my provider herself has been great, but the front office experience with Veronica has been disappointing enough that I felt this review was necessary.”

“So far so good I had been with them years ago and I stopped going it was a big huge mistake when I tried to switch Doctors. I have been in therapy for 20 years and moved here to Georgia from Chicago. They took the time to get my records and to really listen. Looking forward to my appointment this Friday!!! I am very happy to be with people who I feel truly listen.”

“Had an appointment in February and was told the day before or the same day that the provider could only do a virtual appointment. I didn't want that so I was able to reschedule. Finally had appointment a month later and tried to cancel due to a conflict and was told I would be charged $100. I went to the appointment as I wasn't paying that high of a fee and was told when I got there that I booked the wrong type of provider. Well, when I booked it, I selected what I needed and this provider came up in the list. I can't cancel without a fee, but they can have you drive all the way there and then tell you that you booked the wrong person. Ridiculous.”

“Terrible decision to make an appointment at Lifestance Health. They sent me to a therapist that wasn’t even certified to prescribe me medication. Her bedside manner was horrible. I got off the video visit feeling so much worse about myself, she was only worried about herself and her losing her job. Would not recommend this place to anyone.”
