What patients say on Google

“I have been going here for at least 8 years and am now expecting my doctor left the practice( I am waiting to see where her new practice is and will be leaving lifestance) they gave me a new provider only to find out oh they didn’t look at my treatment plan not to mention made me come IN PERSON- this place is a pure disaster and has been since it switched from Georgia behavioral. The office staff seems completely uneducated and unprepared as well as the provider they book you with - worried more about loosing a patient than providing proper care - well they will still be loosing me. They don’t listen either when listing your availability and you have to repeat yourself 6 times. If it wasn’t such a headache finding a new practice and doctor I would have left a long time ago. Frustrated doesn’t even cover what I am feeling. 0/10 do not recommend anyone to this facility.”

“Bait and switch. Online said ~$30-60 avg copay. Appt was scheduled for 45 min. Saw the dr for 31 min. She offered to refill my current script, as well as start me on a new antidepressant. I said no to refill, as I had a little over a month left. But I did start the new antidepressant. A week later, I get a bill for over $400 for that 31 min appt. I cancel future appt, and ask for refill. Dr will only refill the new medication, as she "has never prescribed the other one to me." But she was willing to during my appt? Now that I refuse to pay the $400, they are unwilling to prescribe my long term medication. Called in, left a number to call back rougbly 3 hours ago. Now they are closed for the weekend and Im afraid to go on my family vacation if I have to cold turkey stop antidepressants I've been for 14+ years... Feels like retaliation for being unable to afford the first visit, when they were willing to fill this specific script. Based on review replies, they've been teying to do better for 5+ years with no new excuse for their antics. Figures. Medical practice with finances as top concern. Who would've thought?!”

“My experience with Life Stance was exceptional, the doctor that assisted me got me to where I needed to be in 20-30mins. Was able to identify issues I’m having without even telling disclosing said information to him. Definitely a professional in his field and I am grateful we were able to start a plan to assist me moving forward. Would highly recommend anyone struggling in silence to give Jean Cadet a call and see what he can do to better assist you.”

“I had an intake appointment with Dr. Patel to start medication management. The appointment started on time which is the only positive I can say came from it. During the appointment, he spent the majority of the time talking, sharing irrelevant information about past patients, or explaining things that did not need to be re-explained. He started with asking for my history and when I shared that I have a high ACE score (Adverse Childhood Experiences) which is a universally used well known term in the mental health industry as I also am a mental health provider he stated he had never heard that term before. When I would finally get the floor to speak, he would cut me off and begin explaining things that were not relevant (ex. He shared a story of a patient who got upset with him and spit on him due to not diagnosing them with ADHD) this had nothing to do with me. I finally asked him to let me speak for a second so I could make sure I am understanding all of the information he is throwing at me and within the first sentence I spoke he asked if he can stop me for a second and I told him “No. I’ve let you speak I need you to let me speak for a second.” He did respect that but it’s quite frustrating in an appointment where he needed information from me that he spoke the majority the time. I would share how I already have been taking (x) medication and haven’t felt it’s worked and then he would follow that with yes that’s a good one to consider I’m glad you are starting to think about taking that and I said I’m literally telling you I’ve been on this medication for years and symptoms are not reducing. Just completely not even listening to me. I’m not sure why he felt this was appropriate but it absolutely is unacceptable and as a provider myself I would never treat my clients this way in their appointments.”
