“My therapist is wonderful and everyone is always very helpful whenever I have to call or message the office. My only real complaint about Lifestance is the awkward and poorly worded check-in process. 1. Some of the choices for questions are written backwards: Does your insurance info need to be updated? Answer: No, everything is up to date. (Confusing to say “no, that’s correct”). 2. The check in process sends 2 calls to action: to verify your appointment a few days in advance, and to check in right before your appointment. However, the check in also sends a long questionnaire to assess your mental health (“on a scale of 1 to 5” ratings for suicidal thoughts and other mental well being questions). Why isn’t this sent in the first call to action? I don’t usually have time to fill out the questionnaire in advance of my appointment, which means I just rush through the questions without any thought to prevent being late for my appointment (and I often am a couple minutes late because of the questions).”
