“They charged me $555 for my initial assessment that I was shown a paywall in order to get into my appointment. If I wouldn’t have paid that amount to get into the zoom call, I would have had to pay a last minute cancellation fee. I did not find the provider I had my zoom call with to be very knowledgeable or helpful and decided not to continue care with Lifestance for this reason. I looked into my billing history to make sure there was nothing left to worry about to move on from this experience and saw that I had a positive balance of $205 which I was not told I had. I messaged multiple times to try to get this amount refunded and they told me eventually that I would have to deal directly with the third party company that deals with their payments and, long story short, found out that I will(hopefully) be receiving a check for that amount in 6-12 weeks. I don’t know how to recommend avoiding this happening to another person so I’d advise to proceed with caution.”
