How likely are you to recommend LifeStance Therapists & Psychiatrists Brentwood?
What patients say on Google
“So far my experience with LifeStance as a psychiatric practice has been good. My provider Caroline Drake is the best therapist I've ever had. She relocated to LifeStance a few years ago and the move in my opinion has been a good experience. The office offers late appointments, telehealth options and they work with you financially when it comes to billing by offering flexible and affordable payment options. Honestly Caroline is the reason I'm a patient at LifeStance. She has a great personality, she listens objectively, she's straightforward, honest and understanding. She doesn't treat you as a number, she listens to you and she doesn't talk at you like some therapist have done to me in the past. Caroline will make suggestions on your treatment plan that you can decide on and she follows up with you throughout any changes. She is available when you need her most. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a therapist that's understanding, down to earth, and objective. Caroline is an asset to LifeStance and to her patients.”
“Lifestance, after many contacts, refused to run the insurance on file. They even admitted they ran it for my wife and not for me. A quick online search—Facebook, Instagram, and fhe BBB proves this is a common practice for them. They were contacted many times and then sent me to collections. Emails to my provider, Kindril Climer and their billing department have gone unanswered for sometime.”
“Nurse Climer is simply one of the best! She is one of the most compassionate psychiatrists I've had. She listens to me and is genuinely interested in hearing my personal issue that may be affecting me. Not only that, but she is very knowledgeable in her field and is determined to make a plan that works for you. I highly recommend her!”
“I had been with LifeStance health for some time. At the beginning, the biggest issue was automatic withdrawals from my account despite my deductible for the year being met. It required constant calls and being on holds to get to a person to even get me a refund. I fear if I had never caught the withdrawals of my copay, I sincerely never would have gotten refunds. And yes, as they run “normal” working hours just like most of us, I found myself using my lunch breaks to attempt to reach their billing team. However, this issue was something I disregarded until a more prominent issue showed this year. I changed insurance, had to take 2 months off of appointments, and then called to book an appointment with my regular provider again. From March 2026 until now I had been cancelled on a total of about 6 appointments with my regular provider. Most of the times day-of and even an hour before the appointment. And yes, I was having to take time off work for these appointments, so my PTO was quickly drained. They were automated cancellation texts without any communication with my actual provider. I’d then have to call the office and get booked out usually weeks out. And all of this was while I was trialing a medication that had previously caused me issues. It felt super dangerous. After a last straw cancellation, I switched providers. They chose for me. Said it would be a good fit. I took it out of desperation for some sort of care and relief. This provider entered my appointment virtually 15 minutes late and had not reviewed a bit of my background despite me being a patient with the practice for a long time. My entire appointment was me having to explain myself. It was infuriating. To top it all off, as my major issue is an eating disorder, this provider decided to share that she knew exactly how I felt with my eating disorder because she also had one previously. She then thought it was appropriate to share her lowest weight with me and caloric intake at the time. I feel as if it’s a given to not share these pieces of information with someone actively struggling with an eating disorder and yes, it did negatively affect me to hear these problematic numbers. I was upset the rest of the session and this provider asked me “why”? Completely unaware of the damage just done by allowing me to compare myself to her lowest weight. I called the practice the next day detailing the session and that, I guess, at this point it is imperative I see someone at least familiar/sensitive to those with disordered eating to prevent further relapse. I also asked to speak to a supervisor to detail my time from March with LifeStance and the ill-educated providers they employ. I got email address for me to contact, but never a call from them. The receptionist was helpful and was apologetic when she called to update me, but unfortunately, their recommendation to me was to find a “specialist”. I was given no resources and have dwindling supplies of medications. This past month has been me attempting to find another psychiatrist that I can see outside of my work schedule as LifeStance health has drained my available work time off and I didn’t even get sessions. Avoid this company at all costs. I don’t feel they care about quality care at all. And no, this situation won’t be remedied with a reply to this stating this “isn’t what LifeStance health stands for and this situation will be communicated to the proper people to ensure it doesn’t happen again.” I’ll appreciate the response when I see the change. Do better for your struggling patients, LifeStance. For future patients, I can not recommend this company at all.”
