“After using LifeStance for a while now, I will say they do care more about profit than they do their patients. I have had two times where I had to cancel my appointment. The first time, I called two days in advanced and got no answer three times. I was well within their window for hours that were posted online, but later found out after getting in contact, the online hours are slightly different. So unable to move my appointment until the day before, I was hit with a late fee even after proving I tried making multiple contacts with them. The second time, we had an issue with my insurance (in which was completely out of my control) and I got in contact immediately to let them know and to cancel my upcoming appointment (WAY more than the 48 hour notice required) which, by the way I was informed was 24 hours by the agent that first time. I was told “welp, sorry! We’re still issuing you the late fee even after your health insurance issues!” Because of “non business days” on their company policy. Both cancellations on my end were out of my control, plus, the first one due to me unable to even get in contact with the office because of their “hours are differently posted””

“Initial session was an 'Intake / evaluation session.' 400 dollars later, did an actual round of therapy. A 200 session where the therapist played a YouTube video about mediation for half an hour because she had to deal with her kids who were home that. Super professional - who'd have thought therapy would make you actually feel worse about yourself?”
