How likely are you to recommend LifeStance Therapists & Psychiatrists Ann Arbor?
“Therapist is wonderful. Admin experience is annoying. Starting 5 days before the appt they start asking you to check in online. Which in itself is fine. But even after you do it they ask you to do it again every day including the day of. Same questions over and over again. Enough is enough. I've even waited until the day of and still get asked to do it again when its time to sign in to the zoom session. Automation is not always more efficient. Without close human oversight it can be chaos.”
“I tried to set up an appointment 2 times, and I must say my nerves are already bad. Dealing with the people who set up the appointments is an indication of the quality of its doctors. This is not a place I need to be. I first made an appointment for 8-10-26; then, for 8-12-26, I was asked all the questions they usually ask—insurance and so on—and I’m in network. I made sure of that before calling. The person told me how virtual works because I had a choice, so I thought great. She said that I would get a text with the link to join my appointment with my doctor about 10 minutes before my appointment, only to find out that day, when I got the text, they wanted more information that I feel they should have gotten before my appointment. It asks about my medical history and all the meds I was on, which takes more than 10 minutes. At the end, it asks for money or I can't join the call; if I don't pay, I cannot participate. However, I did not owe anything because of how my insurance is set up, but I paid anyway just to take the appointment because I really need it and thought I would just call and ask for a refund. So I paid and was in the waiting room for the doctor to join, as the message said, so I waited about 20 to 30 minutes, and nothing happened. It just said the doctor knows you’re here and will be joining. I finally hung up and called the office. They said I was a no-show. I explained everything to Michelle, and she apologized and scheduled me for another appointment on 8-14-26 at 7:30 am. She said all I would need to do is sign in, but I would be charged the $10 again until she gets that figured out, but I would get it back. I thanked her and ended the call. My second appointment time came; I got the link that morning 10 minutes before the appointment, and it said it was time to update my records from two days ago—nothing had changed—so I had to start all over again with the same questions. Some of the information was saved, thank God, because I would have been late again. It’s 7:30 on the nose, and I reach the payment portion. It now wants me to pay $100 this time, so needless to say, I didn't proceed. I texted, only for the reply to say there is no monitor right now. I tried calling, and the recording said they were closed—call back during business hours. I was very perplexed because I had an appointment at 7:30 am. I just think I should have had a way to contact someone with my concerns at that time. I called the office after waiting for them to open. I spoke with Cassie, who was on speakerphone. I asked if she could come closer to the phone so I could hear because the sound was terrible with all the background noise. I explained everything as best I could. During the call, I also asked if she could turn the TV down because it was very distracting, and she said that was not the TV, but I know what a TV sounds like. I then asked her to take me off speakerphone because now that she turned it down a little, it sounded like she was in the kitchen doing things. I had to ask her what that noise was. She said, 'I'm trying to type what you're saying so management can get back to you.' I really feel like Lifestance should provide their employees with headsets when they are working from home. I waited all day for a call but never received one. I don't think Cassie turned in anything because she seemed very uninterested. I felt like I was bothering her at least that’s how she made me feel. I've always been told you are only as strong as your frontline.”
“Dr Dunstan has been my psych provider for a looong time (5years now?) and though I dont have experience with other providers through lifestance my time with her has been amazing. Great listener, great “problem-solver” & open to working with my anxiety around starting new meds with ease. Thank you!!”
“I’ve been getting mental health care for ~13 years. I’ve never really been super satisfied with my experiences in other places and have fought for certain diagnosis's with multiple doctors. My experience with lifestance has been completely different. My provider listens to me and has done the most to help me the last year. It’s been life changing. I’ve also received therapy services and I so appreciate that there’s not an excessive waiting period to receive therapy services. I always recommend lifestance to anyone receiving psychiatric care.”
