“Coming here was the biggest gift I could’ve ever received. If you need any sort of help, this is the place to go to. I live out of state, and I knew from an one hour assessment and tour, this was the right fit. All the staff are incredible! After being in therapy on and off for 8 years, I finally have coping skills and my nervous system has been fully reset. They teach you how to change your perspective, how to reach out for help when you need it, coping skills, and much more! Honestly it was like summer camp with therapy and groups. “I came to Lifeskills when weekly therapy wasn't enough for what I was going through, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. They went far beyond helping me through the acute crisis. Using CBT, DBT, interpersonal, and trauma-based therapy, we got to the deep roots of my struggles, deeper than any treatment I'd had before. My primary therapist, Silvana, was kind, compassionate, and truly made me feel understood, while also using tough love when I needed it. Her Rapid Resolution work has done wonders. Huge thanks as well to Kayla, Jody, Vidi, and Intern Jen, who ran group sessions with so much empathy and knew exactly when to be gentle and when to push. Honest cons: the insurance/billing cycles were confusing (though staff was always eager to help), and there's a fish tank that gets surprisingly loud during some groups. Minor stuff.
