What patients say on Google
“First, the good. I gave two stars ONLY because of Dr Eckert. He is kind, compassionate, and really listens to his patients. I wish he could do my psychiatric needs as well. Next, my therapist was Olivia. She was very nice, and gave me some really good tips and helped with a few issues I had. My therapeutic needs are pretty complex, and overall I just didn't think she was experienced enough to handle them. And last, the worst psychiatric provider I've ever had. In my 45 years, probably 25 of them have been under psychiatric care, which means a lot of doctors. When I first started going to this clinic I saw Tonya. I liked her a lot and felt like she was kind and patient with me, and really wanted to help me. However, about a month ago she left that clinic, and I was reassigned to a provider named Coco. My first time meeting with her, I had literally just that morning gotten back from 2 days of disappearing and being suicidal. My boyfriend went to the appointment with me, because we were both certain she was going to recommend I go to the hospital. She did not, she did not seem concerned or even surprised or anything when I told her I posted a goodbye video, left my phone at home, and took off in my car with the intention of ending my life. She said she would get me hooked up with the IOP, and we talked about me starting Spravato. I saw her again the next week, at which she told me she was wrong about the IOP, it is mostly geared towards people with substance use disorder and that I wouldn't get anything out of it, except for the DBT group. Then she told me that because I am now diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, I am no longer eligible to do Spravato. I thought that sounded weird but I was overwhelmed so I didn't question it. Later that day I did some research and found medical studies that contradicted what she said, and showed that Spravato actually can and does help with suicidal ideations in patients with borderline personality disorder. She also had me do labs that morning to check my lithium level. I got the results the next day on the portal, and was concerned because my lithium level was not within therapeutic range. I called to speak with her or her nurse, and that's when I learned that she does not work on Fridays. I was very anxious and upset about my lithium level being too low and not being helpful during a very hard time for me, and now I would have to wait until the next week to discuss with her when she called about my labs. However, she never called about my labs. Additionally, at my appointment the previous week, when I made it very clear that I was suicidal and in the middle of a significant Mental Health crisis, she thought it would be appropriate to have me schedule four weeks out with her. I don't think that was appropriate at all, and I think she should have scheduled me to come back in 1 week, especially since we didn't know the lithium level results yet. It is my opinion, based on my experiences with her, that she is at the very least unconcerned about her patients crises, but at worst she's negligent and incompetent. I am so glad I am moving out of state and will never see her again.”
“I want to thank Dr. Eckert for performing surgery on my head. I had a serious emergency situation and it worried me very badly for 3 weeks and he fixed it. I want to thank him for taking the stress off my shoulders. I like people that can fix problems not cause problems.”
“The women who check you're vitals and blood pressure at life springs are always respectful and nice. I only came across a few employees that seemed to talk in a sort of smart aleck way. It's very important for the therapist to delivery a message in a respectful manner when their dealing with the patients. I saw one of the reviews where someone said something about a therapist making their son feel uncomfortable and I'm referring to the same thing. The workers should also be supportive if a patient is dealing with a situation to where the patient is dealing with domestic violence. Don't just wave it off like it's not a problem. Give me your recommendation on how to deal with certain situations don't just sit there and not say anything, that's not doing you're job.”
“After having mostly bad experiences with this clinic in Washington County, I decided to give them a try in Jeff. What a mistake that was! On the day of my first appointment, they closed the office--but didn't tell me until a few minutes past my appt time, when I had already made the 45 mile drive and spent ten minutes trying to figure out how to get in the building. Shame on you. Get yourself organized, like the group of professionals that you claim to be.”
