How likely are you to recommend Life Restoration and Wellness - Marquette, Michigan?
What patients say on Google
“I’ve known Ryan for a while, and he recently helped me personally. It was a great experience. The office was clean, organized, and welcoming, and you can tell there is intentionality behind what they are building. It really seems like they are putting together a strong team that cares about serving people well. I’m thankful for Ryan’s help and would highly recommend Life Restoration and Wellness.”
“The crew at LRW is amazing! 100% would recommend to anyone seeking a therapist or positive change in their life. They are friendly, professional, and really great at communication- you will recieve the help you need here.”
“Therapy shouldn't feel like it is blatantly a money grab. They insist you be seen weekly when every other clinic I had back home had no problem being every two weeks or monthly per my preference. Avoid, there are better clinics in town.”
“My initial experience at Life Restoration and Wellness was less than satisfactory. When I arrived for my first consultation, there was no receptionist present due to weather conditions, which is understandable. However, I was informed that if I were to cancel an appointment due to inclement weather, a $100 cancellation fee would still apply. I found this policy unreasonable given the circumstances. During my initial visit, I discussed with my therapist that I am only able to attend appointments twice per month due to my work schedule and the cost of treatment. He agreed and stated he was willing to accommodate this plan of care. Despite this agreement, I was later scheduled for weekly appointments. This only came to my attention after receiving appointment reminder messages. When I attempted to cancel the incorrectly scheduled appointment, I was informed that I would be charged a $100 cancellation fee for canceling within 24 hours. This was not consistent with what had been discussed, and the scheduling error was not mine. I was disappointed that this fee was applied despite the error originating from the facility. At my initial appointment, I was required to pay an estimated $175 based on insurance information reviewed by Ryan. The payment was processed immediately, as the office does not offer paper billing and requires a card on file, which I understood and accepted. After reviewing my Explanation of Benefits from BCBS the following week, I learned that the visit was fully covered, leaving only a $30 copay. This resulted in an overpayment that should have been refunded. When I spoke with Ryan regarding the refund, he deducted the $100 cancellation fee from the refund amount. As a result, instead of receiving the full refund owed, the cancellation fee was applied against it. This resolution was frustrating, as the cancellation resulted from a scheduling error and should not have been charged in the first place. A note to current and prospective patients: If you have established care or are considering establishing care, I strongly recommend reviewing your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance provider to ensure you understand your coverage and potential charges. This situation could have been avoided had my insurance information been properly reviewed and had appointments not been scheduled weekly when they were not medically necessary. Unfortunately, the administrative process has been disorganized and challenging to navigate and will most definitely loose me as a client due to these issues. Thanks!”
