What patients say on Google

“DO NOT GO HERE!! Unfortunately had to find a new psychiatrist. I had been seeing Dr. Heron since 2019 and have always had issues. Not to mention she always says "It was nice meeting you" every time I see her in person. Even if you don't remember me, you don't see in your notes or my patient file that I've been open for YEARS. I once showed up to the office for a scheduled appointment and the doors were locked and lights off. I had to wait 30 minutes before she showed up. Then I started scheduling phone visits, but she wouldn't answer the phone till days later. She rarely returns voicemails or emails. After waiting over two weeks for her to return my call, I decided to stop by the office, thinking I'd have better luck. Piles of garbage out front, stacks of mail on the counter, and a locked door with a number to call, that of course, no one answered. The receptionist finally called me back saying "She isn't really practicing anymore." Wish I would have read some of these reviews awhile ago because I noticed a lot of others also find her completely unreliable and does not seem to care for her patients. If you do not have the staffing or time to run a business, shut it down. There's a "5 star" review on here from one of the employees basically bullying the patients that shared their experiences and rightfully gave the business a 1 star. In her "review" she called patients "rude and disrespectful" and ended it with "Have the days you deserve." It's utterly shameful.”

“Dr. Heron is wonderful! I have been going to her for a few years now & have been having my best results due to her recommendations. I’m Truly thankful !! You all have to realize this facility is run by just 1 Dr, she does not have other drs so yes you have to understand that alone & go in knowing it may take time, but every appointment takes time at all offices. Her office is beautiful & comfortable, def not the usual experience, plus she goes above and beyond to help! Very knowledgeable & does what she can. Her office manager Christina is the only other person there, she is also amazing! She goes above & beyond as well. I understand people’s frustration, but this is 2 people taking on as many people they can to help them, it’s not about the money, your true well being is their goal & I’m so happy I found them when I did. Thank you guys for all you do!!!”

“Dr. Heron is a kind, compassionate psychiatrist. I did feel that I could open up about symptoms without being brushed off or invalidated. However, on 2/16/22, Dr. Heron arrived to the office at 11 am, although she had clients scheduled prior. I had to call them to be informed, and I had to schedule my appointment for a later time. This was fine for a one-time thing. However, today on 3/9/22, I had an appointment for 11: 30 am. She was 30 minutes late, and her receptionist (Christina) had no idea what Dr. Heron's schedule was at that time. She was on the other line, but the receptionist should be able to have the schedule figured out even when there are delays. The appointment resulted in a phone call instead of the virtual call I asked for. She was still helpful, but I would expect better organization, communication, and professional skills while working with clients. Nothing is bad about her talents, but there is much lacking in efficiency of the practice. I have proof in text form, but I will not post for privacy of both parties. I would say that it is up to the client whether or not she is good for them, but I personally want a psych that is on time and efficient in more than just prescribing medication and empathy. Professionalism is a major component to success. As a client, I deserve that professionalism to follow through, as I pay for the services to be professional and effective. I had read these reviews before contacting this practice, but decided to give her a chance since reviews are sometimes wrong. However, all the clients that say she is very late to her appointments are accurate. I have tried to be understanding for as long as possible, but today is where I need to speak up and say this is an issue. Not fair to Dr. Heron or her clients to have such a lack in organization and consistency in the professional field.”

“I had my first apt today with Dr. Heron. I was extremely impressed with not only Dr. Heron’s compassion and understanding but also the secretary at the front desk and the cleanliness of the office. Her office is beautiful and has very comfortable seating. Her secretary was very helpful and friendly. She made me feel at ease and comfortable in a situation where I was very anxious and nervous. Dr. Heron was very nice. She has a great demeanor and seemed to actually care about my health concerns. I left feeling hopeful for my future and that I’m in good hands! I will be making an apt to return. Thank you, Dr. Heron and Staff!!”
