“If you are looking for the best case coordination for your kids, ​I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bernice Alvarado at La Mente Behavioral Health. She goes incredibly far above and beyond, always working flexibly around my sons (and my very own) schedule. She has built an amazing bond with my son through thoughtful and skillful activities—from making vision boards that have literally come true, to fun outings like La Nube museum and the rage room. Bernice is kind, brilliant, patient, and has the sweetest personality, not judgemental at all. She has taught my son boundaries, emotional coping skills, and healthy habits. She has also worked with my son to boost his self esteem, his confidence and competence. Thanks to her weekly visits and dedication, my son is doing so much better. She is an absolute blessing to our family!”

“Frist off I would like to stay this a really good clinic. My children have been seeing Dr Hector for years. Really good Dr works really well with my children very understanding person also would like to stay that Veronica Burnham (Care Coordinator) is a really great case manager comes onces a week to see my 2 kids and works really well with them. Helps my 7 years with his anger issues by having alot of patience and helping him by so him different way to control his self when he is upset. Honestly Veronica is really good with kids and is highly appreciated.”

“I hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience has been consistently frustrating. I’ve now had multiple medicine-management appointments here where the wait time was extremely long — over an hour at one visit for what should have been a 15–20 minute appointment, and almost two hours at the next visit. Patients were still being called ahead of us, which suggests the provider was running very behind, yet no one communicated that to us when we checked in (early, as all instructions request). I even had to reschedule a prior appointment because of a 90-minute wait. With my husband away for several months, I’m juggling work, family, and these appointments alone. Taking time off work only to sit in the waiting room for hours means I’m working late into the evening to make up time, dinner gets pushed back, and the whole day is disrupted. I completely understand occasional delays, but the lack of communication and repeated long waits feel unprofessional and disrespectful of patients’ time. I’ve never experienced this level of delay for therapy or medication management elsewhere. I hope they address scheduling and communication — right now, I can’t recommend this location.”
