What patients say on Google

“Just trust all the one star reviews. If you care about your mental health, stay away from this place. It was always a pain to get my medication refilled. I had to borderline harass them. I want to say I was with them for six months, and every month was an ordeal. She would not see me in the office, only over the phone, and she rarely looked at me. She was very cold and didn't seem like she cared at all about our appointments. When I would try to explain my symptoms and how they made me feel, she would just cut me off and ask me a question on a scale of 1–10 about how things had improved. It felt like she was just checking off a list of questions she had to ask. Our last interaction was over the phone. I was trying to schedule my appointment before my refill because I had been on a medication for over a month and a half, and it was doing absolutely nothing. Her daughter, who is the secretary, kept making it seem like I was trying to get a refill right then, saying things like, "Oh, insurance won't let us refill it until the week of." I kept explaining that I wasn't asking for a refill—I just wanted an appointment before around the 25th. My original appointment was on the 30th, so I could discuss increasing my dose because it was doing absolutely nothing. Keep in mind, I started at the lowest dose, 10 mg. Coleman got on the phone and said, "You are a stay-at-home mom. You are an adult with no job and don't go to school. I only gave you what I did to help you around the house." I'm a mom of two wild boys with ADHD, ages 6 and 4, and they are a handful. She then told me she was referring me back to my primary care provider. Thankfully, my PCP sent me to a new provider who was caring, listened in depth to all of my concerns, and ordered a GeneSight (genetic) test so we could see what medication would work best for me. You can really tell she cares about people and genuinely wants to help. My new provider was also shocked by everything that had happened, including my dosage. Since then, I've finally been put on the proper dose for an "adult".”

“This office has poor communication skills. You literally have to call them everyday to get a prescription filled. They lack professionalism and accountability to be a mental health clinic. I was told it was vital that my child do not miss any dose of their medication, but yet it’s hassle to get them to fill it. I understand that certain medications have regulations but at least communicate with me!! They just consistently mishandle important matters, because this is not a one-time occurrence. So, honestly seek else where for your treatment because you will be highly disappointed if you come here.”

“I agree with Bonnie Jones, and I hope everyone who needs to see this does . I had a very disappointing experience with this provider although I can't say I'm surprised . Communication was poor throughout the entire process and the provider lacks professionalism, and respect for the families that they serve and their time . After initially telling me that my daughter could be seen sooner, the provider abruptly switched the appointment to virtual due to concerns about my child's behavior. As a parent, i feel if you specialize in behavioral health services for children, I would expect the environment to be set up in a way that is safe, structured, and appropriately supervised for kids with different behavioral needs. ( not that cute stuff you doing over there ). In my experience, that was not clearly the case here, and it raised serious concerns for me as a parent about communication, expectations, and how situations are handled . My child was allegedly accused of damaging items in the facility, which I was told was the reason our visit was switched to virtual. However, none of these concerns were addressed with me during the visit or when we left. If my child made anyone feel uncomfortable or if there were issues, that should have been addressed directly IMMEDIATELY the same day, not brought up later after a heated dispute . I felt completely blindsided and unable to respond to serious concerns in real time. The provider also hung up in my face while I was trying to communicate and understand what was being said, which I found very unprofessional. I guess she felt explaining how my child allegedly behaved was more important than releasing me the appropriate diagnosis for my child that I've been seeking for 6 years . Gosh humans can be so unempathetic . As a behavioral health provider for children, I expected better communication, clarity, and respect when dealing with parents and sensitive situations when a child is struggling.”

“This office lacks basic communication. I have used L & A behavioral health for over a year and was always very pleased until they switches offices. Last month and this month I had to call 6 times and leave a message online just to get my sons monthly prescription sent in.”
