What patients say on Google

“Dr. Wood is the best psychiatrist in Tennessee. I have been with her 10 years. She has saved my life and helped me through some of the hardest years. She always listens to me and is very patient with me. If i tell her a medication isn’t working, she believes me and pivots. She has been extremely motivational in her time with me. She is one of the smartest people I have ever met and explains everything so well to me, from meds to mental health conditions. She helped me understand myself so much more. She always came to my rescue when my mental health got in the way of me completing work or school tasks. I don’t have enough good things to say about her. I’ve never stayed with any sort of doctor this long. She believes in me. I have never had a single complaint. Just overwhelming gratitude to have someone like her walk through life with me. From college… to different cities… to marriage and now a baby. She’s truly been there for me through it all, and is the most knowledgeable post partum psychiatrist in the area. Okay i’m done moral of the story is she’s AMAZING.”

“I have been going to Knoxville Psychiatry since 2004. Hands down, they are the best! I saw Dr. Jobson until he retired. I HATED to see him go. I then started seeing Julia Wood, and I 💯💯💯 love her w/ my whole ♥️! A friend sees Dr. Lovinggood & loves her too! All of the doctors here are EXCELLENT! Angie is the kindest person, and I equally love her & all of the rest of the awesome office staff too! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Knoxville Psychiatry!!! 💯💯💯”

“Thank you from after years of support dropping me as a patient. This cost me 2 emergency room visits, added to my issue with trust and dependability and broke my heart. The way my provider would even look at me reflected hatred; and yelling/screaming at me during phone calls absolutely confused me, after all: this was during COVID so my panic and fears were realized during the pandemic, how could the provider not know? Was I in a place where I felt comfortable to speak and received counsel? Not towards the end: I would have panic attacks prior to appointments. Hell many times I'd walk in and she'd forget my name! That's promising! Why? Why did you hurt me so badly when for years you took the best care of my pathologies? It hurts to this day. You were so hateful and I am sorry if I I any way contributed to just kicking me off your schedule. But ... I know I did nothing to deserve that treatment and it actually moved me many steps back in my ability to suffer my issues. My experience at the end was harmful to me. Be cautious with one of their providers, if still there.”

“Dr. Woods is the worst mental health professional I’ve dealt with. Once she wrote to my therapist to say that she doubted I was actually suffering an illness, and “maybe it was just [my] bad personality.” She was meant to be treating me for anxiety and depression, but she kept switching medications every few months, adding random supplemental meds (including an anti-seizure drug, despite no history of seizures in my family), and generally dismissing whatever I had to say about my own health or treatment. When my symptoms were not easily treated, she decided I had a personality disorder and tried to wash her hands of me (no other mental health professional has diagnosed me as such). Dr. Woods is the reason it took me 4 years to seek treatment again.”
